- The Carolina Rig is one of the most old school of old school bass fishing techniques. Knowing how to tie a Carolina Rig is basic but essential information for any bass angler. Watch John Crews, veteran Bassmaster pro angler, tie his version of the Carolina Rig. John even throws a few tips and tricks into the demonstration.

Another great video. Keep them coming. Every video makes me a better bass angler. Thank you.
You're still my #1 pick pick for Fantasy Bass go get them next week! You need a pick-me-up after this last week. I didn't do very good either. 👍
Let’s go John!!!!!!!!!! Love you bro can’t wait to meet you. One of my biggest idols!!!! Love your attitude and fishing style 👍 💪 KEEP IT UP
Great instructional video!!
Thanks for this demo. Very clear on how to do it. I am a bank fisho, and heard this technique is excellent for bank fishing. Anxiously waiting for your video demonstrating how to fish it from the bank (and from a boat)!
John - I use a bobber stop between my bead and knot to protect the knot
Good stuff bra
Good video. Go get them at Champlain next week.
Thanks James.
No one really talks about swivel type or swivel size much. What are your thoughts on type and size?
I really appreciate the tips and content.... loving these Cashion rods, thanks for that. Good luck at Champlain 🤘🤘🤘
I'll take it! Thanks
Blue Gill is one of my favorite
Great video John!! What brand of weights are you using? Are they lead or tungsten?
Lead. No brand.
Crews you like Criigs because you are from Va.It has been a mainstay here for a long time.
Any reason for not using braid for the main line and mono for that leader material to make the bait float a little bit behind and the braid comes off that smooth better ? I wanna try out defiler for leader material just wondering the pros and cons on braided main line and copolymer/mono leader
Braid is not as abrasion resistant. Mono absorbs water and sinks like fluoro
Thats exactly how I rig it BUT if the bottom is more grass and I'm not worried about gettin hung up I'll use those Carolina keepers
