  • The Carolina Rig is one of the most old school of old school bass fishing techniques. Knowing how to tie a Carolina Rig is basic but essential information for any bass angler. Watch John Crews, veteran Bassmaster pro angler, tie his version of the Carolina Rig. John even throws a few tips and tricks into the demonstration.

You're still my #1 pick pick for Fantasy Bass go get them next week! You need a pick-me-up after this last week. I didn't do very good either. 👍

Thanks for this demo. Very clear on how to do it. I am a bank fisho, and heard this technique is excellent for bank fishing. Anxiously waiting for your video demonstrating how to fish it from the bank (and from a boat)!

No one really talks about swivel type or swivel size much. What are your thoughts on type and size?

Any reason for not using braid for the main line and mono for that leader material to make the bait float a little bit behind and the braid comes off that smooth better ? I wanna try out defiler for leader material just wondering the pros and cons on braided main line and copolymer/mono leader

Braid is not as abrasion resistant. Mono absorbs water and sinks like fluoro
