I definitely Loved the video it’s really good!!! I have to say imo, I understand why people say they wouldn’t care about people buying dupes or fakes or why should people care. BUT, It’s not that necessarily people “care” about people having fakes, it’s the fact that people that have money to buy into luxury and invest it’s for a reason. Quality, quantity, and yes buying luxury as exclusivities. Because if I have the money, enjoy fashion, and the house brand etc. It’s not that I’m “bothered” by people buying dupes or fakes, but if I invest my hard earned money into that item, I wouldn’t want to buy that brand, or bag, or design and find something more than fit into my needs and wants as *preluxz* . And nothing is wrong with that.
I have a Chanel lambskin square pearl bag and a Chanel handbag but my lambskin square petal bag I have worn 2 times and I am very careful but somehow still has small scratches on the leather and the gold on the clasp. I don’t know what happened but I paid over $3,000 for it a few years ago and I am upset that it already has scratches. No one notices now but I notice the price I paid for it. I’m saving up to buy another *esluxy* bag now that I won’t be paying full price anymore.

More and more people are realizing it’s ridiculous to pay premium by the thousands for leather handbags . Prices are too ridiculous for new ones too . Keeping our cash in banks for now and earns us interest 🎉
I understand this thinking but also consider this: I paid 5k for a bag 4 years ago that I just sold for 10,500. That's much better interest than I would've earned most other places. 😉
Are these issues happening if these bags are used daily? I just got the pochette metis in monogram canvas from the Kusama collection. I love the multicolored polka dots and hope they don’t melt on me, lol. But I don’t think it’ll be in my regular rotation. I also have a NoeNoe in DA but only use that a few times a year in the spring and summer so I haven’t put that much wear and tear into it. I hope I don’t see the fraying for a while. Also, I’m saving up for a *preluxz* . Has your colleague seen the same issues with that size? I don’t mind some relaxation in shape but I don’t want it to be a puddle either. Thanks for the video!
I love handbags and jewelry the most. I have a Coco Handle in caramel and a *esluxy* in red. I really like the red dumpling bag and the purple bag. I would love to see how you pair them even if you never wear them.

I have 3 lv bags at the consignment store 1 sold for half price plus the other 2 bags are still there. Thinking about taking them back soon as I am not willing to sell for a low ball price as the lv denim sac bag and my black gm epi leather bucket bag is worth the price.
@@HardacreMcferran I also enjoy my Alma PM in Orange in episode leather. Plus you can get a Alma BB Strap or just carry it with the handles.
I believe it’s less people not wanting to buy preloved - it’s at an all High time to buy second hand and people who never did now buy preloved. I think it has to do with the extremely bright colors - I love intense greens and blues but even birkins and Kelly can sell badly in colors like kiwi .. so especially if you missed it keep it !
It makes sense to take your bags off the market if they weren’t selling! I think you are right that for now people are shying away from purchasing preloved bags.
The pendulum will swing the other way and people will go back to buying preloved.

Do you find it too wide/big and bulky? I’ve just bought the *esluxy* which is basically the same width and my only worry is it bumping into things and wear on the corners, has yours scuffed?
I know wealthy women who carry replicas. The main reason they gave is that they just understand the value of money and don't want to spend too much money on bags... so more people choose fashionable *preluxz* bags. However, they do spend a lot of money on fine jewelry and other things.

I am also gifting jewelry - gemstones and sterling silver mostly. You just don’t get anything for them on the resale or jewelers unless its gold - and even if gold, still don’t get a whole lot. So I’m giving to my nieces!

I have a love hate relationship with my vintage baby blue Chanel bag, it didn’t end up selling but I was glad because I missed it so much. Now I’m getting annoyed again because it gets color transfer each time I wear it 😂

The buyer still needs to pay an attractive price, as the piece isn’t worth nothing to you just because you’re interested in selling. You still value each piece more than the shelf space you’d get back if you sold them. I reckon the red bag will more likely sell close to Chinese New Year - timing is everything with preloved pieces.

Welcome back to your “kids” lol. It’s like you sent them off to College and they’ve come back home. Sometimes I think the same thing, if I sell this I’ll use this more but I seem to grab for the same bag all the time. Glad you and Alex are feeling better.

Not bags but a selection of my cardigans last winter. I donated a few last week but adding back in my closet this summer. Then I'll use my new handbags to add a fresh look. My cardigans are all surf brand and weren't cheap. 😊 But happy.

Yes the bottom has completely fallen out of the resale market. I sell vintage bags on Etsy, brands like Gucci, Miu Miu and Salvatore Ferragamo. A year ago I was averaging two sales a month which was quite nice and lots and lots of likes and favouriting. This year I have not sold a bag for months and the like are down to a dribble. My bags are priced so well but no takers. Hope it picks up...got to get rid of some of these bags!!

Yeah it's really hard to sell now, even the classic colours black gold etoupe etc but just keep them for now, since these few k won't make much difference to our lives 😊

I feel like some of your Hermes bags are definitely not what people want . I would only purchase the Hermes bags that are the quota bags. I would not buy any of the other styles.

Hm. so many bags and all from Hermes. If they're real, they cost a fortune. this looks like a business. I buy things like this every now and then, but only in the boutique. There are a lot of super fakes. I don't like used things either. I think most people who don't have the money for something like that buy the fakes, which apparently sell on social media for around 400 euros.
I tried few times to sell my capucines and so many lowballers that i swore i could just gift them if im a millionaire... omg these low balls
I've gifted bags it's enormously satisfying. But then again I got them cheaply so it's not so bad. Couldn't be bothered with faffing around with selling and I'm too attached anyway. When I gift I feel like I haven't lost them if that makes sense.

nice video Jess! I was also in the same boat. I tried to sell chloe drew bag and cafune stance ((both in excellent condition). I kept getting lowball offers, and constant inquiry of "is this authentic" when I've already taken 20 pictures each, and included all the paperwork. Got a $50 (Canadian) offer on my cafune stance cause "so many fakes floating around" and $250 offer on my chloe cause "why is there no box" I was FED UP omg, ended up blocking all the lowballers then just kept the bags for myself
sometimes it is not worth selling if you won't get much for them right!?
