2.5 years since I left. I cried like a baby on the plane home. Went back 3 times, but the heart longs for Kyoto no matter what struggles I faced.... I miss it so much. Moving back in 2025. Thank goodness. I miss cocktail bars and train rides through the snowcovered countryside.
I miss my friends.
I’m the same as you. Just trying to recapture my life back in Japan. The sad thing is people leave. I always wished we’d all stay in Japan forever.
Hello there Dave. I'm glad you've been posting so frequently lately.
I don't get to comment under all the videos you release, but seeing you in my notification panel always makes me happy and nostalgic.
I adore how you share your thoughts and memories with us.
Thank you for your work.
So kind of you to say. I'll keep on posting.
For me it'll be a year since leaving by the end of the month. Time really flies.
Are you planning to ever go back longer term?
Honestly my dream is to be able to bounce around. I'd love to spend like half a year there and then bounce to other places.
#11 Fami chicken!
Hi my friend. We are moving to Japan in 2025 as Canada is collapsing under our current fool of a leader. I just got back last week from visiting family but we have decided to move there for a better quality of life. Cheers.
Oof, "A great place to raise a family," echoes my goals!
We're in Vietnam now, heading out (back) to the States for a few years, but I'll be counting every day that we're State-side until we pack up and set out (back) to Asia ~ Japan is the target destination! I would want to raise my son nowhere else.
You're one of the reasons I lived in Japan for 4 years. Leaving was a really hard decision.
Would definitely recommend you check out Shikoku. Boy what a pleasant surprise.
Thanks for the fantastic video mate!! 😊
Really nice of you to do this video, maybe you can do one which is opposite of this video. That would be nice.
Great video!
Another great video
Glad you enjoyed it
I miss your videography of Japan. Some of those videos are pretty amazing.
Have you ever thought about Taiwan/ Taipei? Cheaper than Japan, foreigner friendly, and so convenient.
I consider everything. Lots to learn.
Hi, you say you are a tall guy. How tall are you? I thought you were like 5'8 or 5'9
I'm 6'1
