My message to my kids about their room was "clean it or I will." They tested that one time and never again. My version of clean was to bring in the outdoor trash can, put everything into it, then put it out to the curb. Once was all it took.

Even though I work with adults I have to turn off the bathroom light almost every time I walk by it. I really don't mind, I just have to wonder if they do that at home too.
Lights only cost about 20 dollars a year having it on not going to save much money at all is it worth stressing for 20 dollars and on top that the adult child is paying rent to stay there

NOW im honest when no one looking, sober,single dad again, run a company, starting my own horticulture CZcams channel , working out daily, and in the right mindset today. The rage was awesome. She was incredulous that I'd use more energy climbing the stairs than just putting a bag in the can. I picked up an empty can of some energy drink, which obviously doesn't work..., started eyeballing the mess in her room, and she snatched the bag and took off, lol.

America has glorified parenthood to the point where parents are somehow perfect and their children are obligated to be their lifelong caretakers. Want your child to be an adult?
