I see you found a solution to cleanly hitting the fret under the partial capo, a problem I have all too often as well, haha! Is that custom made? I have been completely unable to find it online. Awesome playing as always!
It's an incredibly handy capo! Kyser Capos makes these capos. They're the "K-Lever" Series. It's a bit hard to find these days. I just found a website called All About Capos still sells them (as of December 2018). I have the Open-G model, which I sometimes also use as a "DADGAD" short-cut capo. Hope this helps!

Original acoustic guitar part in the song is played in open E tuning (EBEG#BE). I'm pretty sure that's the tuning Trace is using as well.
