I have been eating at Ella's in Calabash since I was in my Momma's belly! I am 56, now. We used to always spend Mouse's (Momma's) birthday at Ella's every year. Mouse asked Ella, a long time ago, what the secret was to her amazing seafood and she replied that she cooked it all in lard - well, I don't think they do that, anymore, but it is the very best seafood you can ever eat! I go there every time I go to the beach and it is always my FIRST stop! Heck, I have even been there a couple of times, already, this year and never even made it to the beach! Ella's been gone for many years, now, but so glad that others have carried on her amazing restaurant and their incredible food! Love Ella's! After Mouse became bedridden, I would take my Dee (Dad) there to celebrate his birthday there. Sadly, I lost them both in 2018, but still remember all the fun we would have together at Ella's! My favorite restaurant in the world!
