Omg your hair is getting so long, thick, and full. Yes I'm so thankful that I was the "Last New Client" that Li accepted.....woo-hoo!!!! I still have my test locs in and I'm counting down the days til May 2nd. I will then have my babies installed by the wonderful Li. I hope mine be as beautiful as yours.

I am incredibly excited for you. I am so surprised its been a year already. I am in my 6th month of sisterlocks. In regards to your ends, you are correct, it is because of stretching. I was experiencing it too so I stop stretching because I was told it will eventually make my ends stringy. I love the freedom and minimalism of sisterlocks. I love that I have thick hair, but I wish I had your length! I too have 11-13 inches but because I have 4C hair with 60% shrinkage LOL...... my hair often times looks like 6 inches. BUT I'm keeping these babies!! Peace sis.

Your sisterlocks are beautiful. I've had my sisterlocks for three and half years and I'm still loving the process, which you have to be patient that's the key. My budding started when I reached a year and a half. What I've learned is that everybody's journey is going to be different because of our DNA. I would see other people's locs and wished that mine would look like that. So I had to learn to love my sisterlocks even though they looked totally different than someone else's. So my advice would be that you need to be patient and enjoy your journey.
Congrats on the one year mark!!! I'm still self maintaining and I sent my consultant a picture and she said im doing great maintaining. I have been doing the acv soaks to help with my buildup but it actually helped with budding. I have more buds now. So hopefully I will be matured by the summer.

I was so excited when I saw the notification pop up! I'm so happy you're at 1 year sister locks. when I was doing my research for getting locks and I found one of your videos. I've been following you since and I love your videos. Yourjourney actually sold me on deciding to lock my hair. I did microlocs instead and I'm just about 1 month now locked. my hair is a little fuzzy because I started on transitioning hair.

Hi, I just finishing month 3. I love the natural curls thus far, but not the dry scalp and itching, I do use peppermint and rosemary spray for that that helps some.

I had the same experience where bantu knots were not coming out the same the longer my hair grew. I have just recently bought Lottabody. I add some to my bottled water and essential oils. I have found that has helped to give more definition to my bantu knot outs. I also ensure to use ACV to get rid of any buildups when I wash...again...luv your beautiful locks!

I'm in my 7th month ... my locs are also very thin but I'm just waiting on it to loc and thickened ... I can tell my new growth is Fuller than my ends because I did not want to cut my hair ...the first consultant I was going to every 6-8 weeks due to personal issues I had to find another consultant ..which is a blessing because I truly liked how she did my hair and the great thing is she also styles your locs ...thanks for great videos ..enjoying your process

I got tester locks yesterday. My install is coming up April 30th. I have watched your videos from the beginning of your journey. Your hair texture seems similar to mines. Where am I in my loc journey? I am totally committed to getting them after I have my SL Training in August. Either I will install them or I will have the SL Consultant that I have chosen to install them. We'll see. But either way I plan on documenting my journeyon CZcams beginning with the Training. Can't wait!
Your loss looks great. They do look longer in this video from the first video that you posted. I got sisterlocs last August, and then I took them down because I didn't like them (way to big). Now I am in the process in installing a new set!

This was very informative. Thinking of getting sister locks, but I'm a little concerned because my hair is only about 5-6 inches long. I need to be sure that I'll be able to style it first lolol.
Your hair is beautiful! Is that a braid out, or a natural curl/wave? Lucky you! My hair took over 40 hours, over 3.5 days. But I have a lot of hair and most of it was 20" long. My loctician said that's why it took so long.
I live in the Charleston area of South Carolina. I wanted to get sisterlocks so bad (over 8 months). I had to go to where where was great competition and a lot a good reviews. So I also went to the Atlanta area also. I started off with 14 to 17 inches of hair. I am a month and a week in and I love it. Just went back last weekend and for a re-tight and to visit fam.You were a great part of my inspiration to getting my locks. I went to Shawn McWhirter in Stone Mountain she is so sweet. Thank you for all your videos. My mom get hers installed this weekend!!!
