  • We're excited to have had Mr. Thanakorn Seriburi, Senior Vice Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group, join us in Guangzhou today for an autonomous ride on the EH216-S, experiencing firsthand the thrill of aerial sightseeing. And he had an amazing time: "Stable and fantastic flight!"

Looks dangerous to me. What if a Bird 🐦 or object hits one of the propellers? 🤔

They are designed with redundancy in their propellers and systems to continue operation safely even if one or more propellers are damaged.

Why there are still only “sightseeing” flights? Where are actual commercial routes? Also, it’s been what, 2-3 years ago when factory was “presented”, however there still same models flying in the videos. I am not buying this.

I think because they are prioritizing security above all with incremental application. It is a new field… also the model flying is a little different, improved. The landing gear as an example was modified to obtain the type certification 😊

No need to hurry. Must do step by step. Safety top priority. Besides no countries in the world near China capability 😅😅😅

This is a ridiculous design. First of all the exposed propellers are just guillotines waiting to take off heads, arms, and legs. Then the overall footprint of these propellers are just about as big as regular helicopter blades. Therefore there’s no advantage to this design at all and in case of an emergency it can’t even auto rotate to the ground. Just dumb idea. The designs with thrusters integrated into the body is the right direction and already being done.

Its simpler with less maintenance, heck rotor on conventional is dangerous too. No autorotation but better redundancy and no losses by the tail rotor.
Short range is the real show stopper here :)

@@raise-project I don't think this type of design is the future. Thrusters integrated into the body is already being done and will dominate.

@@konixtwenty8275 What do you mean by Thrusters? The impellers Lillium is using?
Currently electric aviation is verymuch limited by battery technology but maybe not dfor long thats why they developed these-
