i play center but my wingers are having trouble getting the puck out and same with the defense they panick and just shoot it (not hard eather) are they any drills or anything I can do to get the strain off myself because I usually end up having to get the puck out myself

Im quite fluent with this breakout play but can anyone tell me if theres a forward forechecking my defenseman whos tryna make a pass to me below the goal line and the direct pass option to me (right winger) is not there anymore, how should I place myself then? where and what should I do to help my D to get it out of our zone? Get to the boards as the defenceman will likely chip it along to make the safe play as the direct pass isn't available. Communication is key, talk to him and tell him to chip it to you. 7 years ago wow.

at 6:45 when you catch the puck on your backhand along the boards... probably not the best thing to do. I'm a d, and I love it when a forward has a puck along the boards, because I know I can easily pinch and have it back in

100% - that play is only for aware, heads up players. You have to look up ice, read the pressure and see what's coming. That is an advanced play and would exercise caution teaching that to younger age groups.

How many NHL'ers are going to go down with concussions from "protecting the puck" before these high profile coaches and trainers realize we have to stop teaching kids its ok to turn your back at the last second to "protect the puck"? Other than that video is pretty good.
Yes yes with turning around u put urself in a position to get hit from behind and they may get a penalty but I just see more injury's when not facing a hit.Turning at the last minute is kinda a wuzzy move.

hockey decision making is as simple as tic tac toe...if you need to watch videos about how to exit the zone effectively and safely you need mental help. and to all those retarded defense-man (in name only) who like to make blind passes out the corners...keep it up! next video will probably be about getting the puck in deep and not making fancy moves at the blue line....seriously, it's like watching someone make videos about how to wipe their ass.
And yet you do have to teach a child how to wipe his ass... Some folks haven't played hockey, haven't played in a long time, or perhaps haven't played at any competitive level. These videos are helpful to them. If it's not helpful to you, you can simply move on without having to belittle them or the group who took the time to create and share the video. Relax.
