Nothing but respect and congratulations Dev. Your energy is inspiring and empowering as you teach with great passion these amazing techniques and how guitarists of all levels may utilise them. And it's borne from a pure love for black metal guitar, the most solid foundation possible. Let 2024 be an inferno of black metal chaos via Dean guitars.
You’re the man thank you for the support over the years
@@DevGohil you're completely welcome my g
Congrats on the endorsement, that dean sounds amazing, more covers please!! Also just wanted to add that your videos are super helpful for guitarists in all stages. Happy New year!
thanks a lot man happy new year to you too
Ty for being with us in 2024 as wel🎉🎉
You've helped me a lot with your videos, your course, Discord and everything.
Some things I would love to see in 2024:
Covers: more collabs with Afra, Tyrant, maybe more album playthroughs if possible
BM Legends: Ihsahn, Abbath, Gaahl, King Ov Hell, Ghul, someone from Behexen, Erik from Watain, Tsjuder boys, Snorre (of course if they would be willing participate)
Gear: Watain guitar tone. Saw them live in August and their tone is really good.
you the man, i'll do my best on the above for sure
Big ups mate, high hopes for 2024 from the channel 🎉🎉
Probably the most inspiring and useful channel I follow on YT. Straight to the point, passionate and dedicated, happy you're seeing the results of your dedication, you definetly deserve it!
thank you so much man, stay tuned for more chaos
Just found your channel through lesson 14 on tremolo picking. You had me hooked when I heard you mention Dimmu. That new Dean is beautiful. Subscribed mate, great content.
Congrats! also really looking forward to that new course too
Dude, I can't wait for the beginner course. I've played drums for a while (poorly) but literally just bought a guitar 2 weeks ago, specifically to attempt to make my own atmospheric black metal. I really enjoy your teaching style and theory focus, but a lot of it is beyond my level at this point. I'm currently working though Jason Stallworth's apprentice course, and I also watch Simon Smith's content. I will 100% be buying your beginner course.
Also, holy crap, congrats on the endorsement... I live in Tampa! If you're ever over here, open invite if you want to meet up or need a place to stay.
Wow! Congrats on the endorsement!! Well deserved indeed.
Please do more of your lesson videos. Rythm guitar espc. - very worthwhile videos.
thanks man, deffo in the pipeline
Congratulations! I have a Dean Dreadnout Acoustic guitar and I love it. It is an amazing partnership with your channel Dev! This year I would love to see a Behexen Exposed video, acoustic guitar video, Black Metal Legends with 1349, more collabs videos with Afra and the Tyrant, guitars unboxing video if possible and bass guitar lesson!
Ah yes, it’s been a while since I done an acoustic guitar video
Will do my best for 1349 members
More collabs planned
I really like the videos when you share black metal guitar playing tricks and technique. Congratulations also!!
Gratulation 🤘
I would love to see you interview Mysticum. I also want to say I've never listened to Darkspace before but checked them out and found their live show on youtube to be pretty surreal. So many bands I've never heard of with incredible shows.
When I was a beginner I gad problemas with the reach of my fingers. Switching between chords was also very difficult. How I have to position my fingers. I wanted to know all the chord shapes for bm but I didn't find much video content. An overview of technics so that I could have gotten an understanding of how much I have to learn.
Alternate picking was something I learned after tremelo because I had worked very hard on tremelo so I could only do that in this speed.
You have worked very hard last year.
Looking forward to this year👍👍👍
I realy love you videos where you explain bm riffing, drums...
What I want to see? Of course more of it and perhaps some guide on playstiles of different bands.
So like how to whrite a mayhem song or a burzum song or a 1349 song.
This would be realy cool!!!
Congratulations
Thank you
I think everyone would like to see you with the legend Idar "Archaon" Burheim from 1349. Also how Abt you once talk about the black metal time with digital amps like Kemper?
Excellent news and smart move by Dean! Congrats!
Thanks a lot man! Can’t believe it happened
@@DevGohil You’ve earned it, man! \m/
Told you that you are the best man! Really well done 👍🏻.. my favourite videos are when you are just ripping on guitar for a full half hour or so ie the tone searching plug ins vid!
I was once a death metal fanatic now thanks to you I have black metal surging through my veins ❤️🔥🤘🤜🏻
awesome! thanks so much for watching
I'll be higher bro, u know😅. Congratulations brother✌👌
thanks so much man
Congrats on that endorsement with Dean Guitars!
Congratulations on the Dean endorsement!
still shook af hahah thanks man
Insane. Well deserved
it's insane, thank you
To once get back to your question, the biggest struggles when writing songs at first was to find matching riffs for a actual context of a song. Also song structure is a big issue when starting to songwrite.
Song structure is always tricky at first plus I don’t wanna say do this/that coz the original approach could be better
It’s more an analysis thing, which part goes where, how much of a journey is the song etc things like that
its been an amazing journey for you mate. so proud to see how far you have come, there was never any doubt in my mind you would be successful as you are very talented and your knowledge on the genre is amazing. You are a great teacher aswell. my mind is completely blown with your partnership with Dean guitars i know how passionate you have been about there brand for years and you have made me want to get my own. Dude ive warbled on long enough but much respect to you and great video as always congratulations on the endorsement my friend
you the man
im still learning but i guess accuracy in changing chords is what gives me trouble but i feel like that just comes with playing anyway. Also well deserved on the endorsement.
Nice one, im looking for DBZ bird of pray, but in Poland not eaven single guitar on using market. Happy New year!
they're SUPER rare, great guitars too
Congrats on the endorsement and the new axe...one might think you like Dean guitars or something.😂 I have learned so much from you and this channel,I am confident with you steering the course,it will be incredible.
First I would like to say congrats on the Dean endorsement man that's an awesome achievement. Secondly I really enjoy your channel the amount of time and research you put in for black metal is excellent. I like that you also respond to people on here, it really shows that you care and want to help people play black metal. Since you asked what we would like to see in 2024 from your channel, for me since i am a bass player I would like to see more bass content Like it's role in black metal I am still clueless on how the bass should sound like in black metal should it be a higher pitch sound or lower deep sound? what pedals and amps would work good on the bass guitar for black metal music? Black metal covers songs for the bass. There really isn't any type of content out there for people that play bass that want to play black metal music.
thanks a lot man
I do need to explore bass amps and gear more since im not 100% familiar with it all. tone, as always, is subjective but i can deffo do vids on bass tone and the sound
I would want to see some riff lessons on warains the Howling or serimosa or before the cataclysm.
Would love if you did a guitar lesson on Desolate Funeral Chant by Inquisition
I am very happy for you for working with Dean Guitars. You need to save that company haha.
I got a 2007 Korean Dean Razorback V Standard because of you and it plays amazing. Im thinking about buying a Jackson Pro Plus Soloist or a Kramer SM1 in the future, what do you think?
go Dean, their latest stuff is too good
Their latest stuff seems good to me aswell but there are no all black strat style guitars with humbuckers and a floyd 1000 or above.@@DevGohil

I was wondering if you could possibly do a video on how to get your creativity flowing for good black metal riff writing because sometimes I have days where I just struggle coming up with anything and then I listen to a song like myr by taake and get jealous and I’m like “I wish I could come up with an iconic riff like that”
Like don’t get me wrong I write good riffs but no where near as good as a taake riff for example
The sad truth is, you gotta push even when unmotivated and there’s always up and down days
The only way to get over it is to not give in
Congrats!! Great way to start the new year!! I would like to see you cover Ensorcelled by Khaos by Emeperor. That is one of my fave songs by them. Also I would like to see more about you journey to become the You Tuber you are today?? What made you want to start your channel??
