I've always found Gopro camera's frustrating to use. It seems, they never work when you need to get that important shot and miss it forever! :)

As fare as I understood, the Buddha said always that we are not perfect including him. So he recommended to work on "enlightenment" daily as he knew that we fall always back in this not so peacefull, fear- und wishfull thinking. These monk experts train their minds that it jumps not around like a young dog or monkey. And in Buddhisim you must not believe in anything. The buddha always encouraged the people to ask any questions to the teachers. If you are happy with the answer is something else. Buddhism seems more a recommendation for a lifestyle which can make you happier.
It is claimed that the stature you saw was designed by the Buddha himself. You can not judge if this is a man or woman as he wanted to state equality of gender. The statue reminds to work on your enightment and live with this a happier life, not for begging for something.
