We owe it all to our Lord Jesus Christ. We spend time conversing and arguing across America because of equal rights. God is not about equal rights. In the parable of the men given the 3 talents. The body of Christ has these talents and not all are called to be preachers, deacons or ministers. Yes Corinthian women were licentious, bullies, heathens so Paul had to address them in a general way. You all take one scripture and make an entire sermon against God-fearing called and chosen women to ministry. You all need to look at the context of what the culture of that chirch was.
How about the scriptire says that there's no Jew nor gentile and no gender in God's eyes? No, Im not a pastor nor am I for 100 genders, only male & female as far as earthly flesh goes. Now you do you and I do me since ne9ther you are responsible for my soul nor I for yours. We all have opinions and only G9d knows the heart of a person. Can women share the gospel with others? Yes
Can women hold a position of authority over a man in Church or pastor a church? No. Absolutely not.
There is a difference between telling people about Jesus and how He died on the cross for your sins and that those who repent and believe will have everlasting life, AND teaching a body of people about the Bible in church.
If God says it’s wrong, your opinion doesn’t matter. There’s a reason why the word of God says. That the heart is deceitful. Your hearts desires should equate to God’s desires. And if they don’t, you are in the wrong. Not God.

Paul is the one who actually said that women are not to teach or assert authority over a man, it says it several times in the Bible, you need to read the whole Bible to find out that women are not supposed to preach but be submissive to their husband. If they don't understand something they're supposed to ask their husband when they get home. Remember he also gave instructions to slaves and slave owners but the church has found a way of navigating that in the modern day.

For those that are confused by this message, men and women are both called to spread the message of the gospel. The Bible prohibits women from pastoring, it’s a form of submission. God is the head of man, man the head of women. Women aren’t supposed to lead a church because they are the weaker vessel. This doesn’t mean we cannot share the gospel with strangers and those around us. This also doesn’t mean women are inferior to men, it’s the perfect structure created by God for a perfect union.

@@nanaama1807 @Nana Ama Prophecy and pastoral leadership in a Church are two very different things. I believe MOTO hit the nail on the head. Women are permitted to teach other women, children, spread the gospel of course, and can prophecy but it's quite clear they are not to lead a church. "I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man." 1Timothy 2:11-12
Part of the criteria for being a church elder is being a husband to one wife so would it make sense that a female elder is not permitted but a female pastor to lead the Church is permitted? All of Jesus' 12 disciples were men and male pastors have been the norm ever since the church was formed.
I've done a bit of research on this topic and even though I found evidence for both sides I continue to find a much stronger argument that God is saying women are not to pastor/lead a church.
And if in doubt, I think it's wise to err on the side of caution attending churches with male preachers or risk offending God.

This is a teaching from the Bible. God never said that a woman can’t evangelize, or lead people to Christ. God doesn’t want women on the pulpit. And there is a reason for that. Women should not be preaching unto men about how to conduct themselves in their lives. I’m sure there’s more to it but that’s what I gather from it. As for me, I absolutely don't have any problem with women being pastors or leaders in church. God said He will pour out His Spirit on all flesh, and both sons and daughters will prophesy. How do daughters prophesy to God's people if they don't speak at all in church? Remember, that women held leadership roles in Scriptures, right from the Genesis to the Revelation. Deborah, a woman was a judge In Israel, and she led a whole nation, which is way larger than a congregation. Also, Josiah, a little boy became king at eight years old. This is to show that this concept of women not preaching in church is satanic. The church is not a men's cult but the Ecclesia of God, and anyone can function as He permits, regardless of gender. God calls whoever He wills, and empowers whoever he wants. God can use anybody at anytime for whatever purpose He wishes, and we can't do anything about it, he's God. If God can use a donkey to speak to Balaam and little David to defeat Goliath, what the entire Israel was afraid of, why can't he use a woman to lead His church? Don't demonize what God deems appropriate. If you're a woman reading this, and God is calling you to minister, go ahead and don't let the devil use these religiously brainwashed folks to stop you.

The first Evangelists of the Gospel were women who found the empty tomb and met Jesus.
The women went to proclaim the Good News to the men Disciples but the men did not believe. Great example set by the men, would you say.
Even Thomas first wanted to inspect the nail scared hands before believing.
Paul was merely addressing the cultural context where some women were getting too excited in Church and got out of order.
Paul was not addressing it in terms of an absolute doctrine that women cannot preach or become Pastors.
Paul did however make clear as a absolute Doctrine that "There is now no more male or female, slave or free, for we are all one in Christ".
You are missing a valuable point and a blessing in that it was a woman (Eve) who through her actions brought sin and shame into the world and it was now through the woman who was granted the previlege of finding the empty tomb and having the honour of proclaiming the Good News to the men in order to bring mankind Life.
GOD Bless you, you are a great teacher but you are wrong in your view, it is pure heresy that women cannot become Pastors or Preachers or Priests or indeed hold any office in the Church.
As with anything including the eating of certain foods or alcohol with some people, you need to be sensitive by allowing women to preach in certain cultures so as not to be a stumbling block but there are no provisions to prohibit women from becoming Pastors.

BUT after studying for a degree in theology down here in South Africa at George Whitefield College , I have come to understand how God has designed the structure of the Church. Am happy to serve God and still share God's Word in areas that do not challenge the authority of Scripture. For example , with this theological degree as woman , you can still serve in Biblical counselling , kids ministry , missions ( but still being led by men ) , Campus ministry, teens ministry, leading ladies Bible studies , sharing God's Word on a one to one with other ladies , music ministry , writing...It is not just about the puppet , the least is endless I guess in my opinion .

It’s a clear command from God that we’re not permitted to speak in a church in a congregation. To lead a congregation. And why would we? Most women have children, I can’t imagine trying to “lead” a church and also trying to disciple my children. I feel like I would fail my children for this supposed “calling”. And I’m even if I didn’t have children, the Bible is clear, it’s about obedience. Women who pastor simply lack humility, and are prideful. No matter what scriptures you show then they will twist it for their favor. I have yet to hear a female pastor teach solid biblical doctrine.

But i came to a realization. Thinking about my role and a mans role, Focusing on what it means to be the woman of God. I realized something about Adam and Eve, God created Adam first, but what dawned on me was really thinking about who actually knows how long it was just Adam and God before he created Eve, so what i got from that for myself was that Adam had a longer and meaningful relationship with God and he was in a higher position than Eve aside from what God already placed on Adam. Eve came after, she was there to be a help mate to Adam. When i think about that i realize my role as a woman is not bad. I desire to have a Man of God who knows Him in such a way that there's no room for me to become a " teacher " in a role made for men.
since God created Adam first, I desire for my Husband to know Christ more than I, understanding that I need to have my own relationship but God can use me in ways that are specifically for me.

So this is what happens when you don’t study the context of the scriptures. When Paul speaks to the Corinthians about women not speaking in the congregation, he was actually reprehending woman for understanding the teachings of Jesus Christ, but still asking silly questions in the middle of the service. Paul is not saying that women are prohibited to preach the word of the Lord, and there is no verse in the Bible that says “women cannot be pastors”. What Paul was pointing out was the intention behind those comments and questions women were shouting, for they were challenging the authority of the Corinthians church leaders. If there were an actual verse about not being pastors, it would say that no person is worthy of that position. Lets stop with the fanatical, extra religious thinking. None of us is worthy of sharing the Lord’s word, but it was by grace that we all have the assignment of preaching and make disciples for Christ to glorify God Father. It is not feminism, as it is not patriarchal thinking. We are all children of God by grace and we all are called to serve Him.
So much discrepancy about women being or not being pastors, and there has been thousands of “pastors” that have robbed their congregations, lied, utilized, abused, and so much degrading actions. The majority? Men.

I don’t even understand why women and men are working so hard against this. Being a pastor comes with great responsibility and lots of temptations and hard times. Women have so many other things to contribute with in a church, so “why” are we so stubborn to be pastors? God can use you in other great ways.
I personally belive that women are supposed to serve in other ways like praying for the people, worshipping god, taking care of the assembly, and i believe that women should be a witness of Jesus outside as well. The thing is the church isn’t just supposed to be a nice place where you go and eat and talk to people and worship the lord. The church is also a place where the enemy attacks, and sometimes the government, and the church is a place where the leaders have to make tough decisions and lead the people well. And there is something beautiful about being the silent one, you will be able to see people in another way, serve people in another way, you will be able to pray ( and praying is powerful ) you will be able to serve and honor God the way he intended for us. It doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t speak kindly to others or never answer if we are spoken to it just means that we should have a quit spirit and not be trying to take leader rolls like the men do.
I don’t judge anyone I was a leader in church for almost a year, I now see a lot of things behind the scenes and I trust that God knows what’s best.
But honestly I do believe women are allowed to teach just not for men, rather young women and be a role model for them, I just believe that the lord loves his women very dearly, he doesn’t say things to make us feel less worthy. He is a God of order, and he has decided that this is the model for the church. Women are very important as well and we can’t forget that, our kindness and softness along with our strong faith can be a huge impact in peoples lives.

I heard the original language is better translated as 'chatter '. Women like to talk, it's known. It's asking women not to gossip or speak during the sermon, instead listen.
I also believe that a female preacher or evangelist is more likely to be physically attacked or spoken over by unruly men. More likely to have her feelings hurt or belief shaken if the crowd rebels against her. More likely to be spoken negatively about by uncivilised people.
I personally like that it's not my responsibility to preach in public. Men should take that risk.
But I also don't believe that women aren't allowed to speak at all, especially when protected by a strong line of men who honour her.
Traditionally, women would be having the majority of spiritual influence on their children and communities. Teaching and spending all day with them. Whereas in reality, it might be the only time during the week that men got to speak to them. As they'd be spending dawn till dusk outside the home, working on the farm or similar. And mostly too exhausted to exert real spiritual influence over their family afterwards.
It was giving men a chance to speak at all.
Now that parenting roles are a lot more equal than they used to be, I'm not sure it's 100% applicable anymore.
Perhaps women shouldn't be pastors, but perhaps men should be out in the sun breaking their backs all day as well.

    • @mcw0261
      @mcw0261 Před rokem +6

Thank you for searching for grace.
His interpretation is actually incorrect . The Bible in this case uses the word Women to refer to wives. The Greek word is "gunee" which means a women who is a wife. A wife should not be over her man trying to instruct him in church but should represent man's submission to Christ learning in all submission, piety, and quiteness. When is the last time we have quitely submitted to God and listened? Or why don't we seek to really understand God's Character in Christ? Perhaps then we would have already known this lesson. We would have also read this scripture (and no scripture can be set aside):
In the spirit: There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, *nor is there male and female* , for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
      Galatians 3:28 NIV
The word female in this case is "Thelus" which mean all women, not "gunee" which mean women who are wives. If Paul wanted to consider all women he would have said Thelus not gunee.
So be there is neither male or female in the spirit, God does not forbid a Female to teach, but for a wife to hold and wield God like authority over "the man", or otherwise the husband, which is not the order of his Word.
We must rightly divide the word, may you Go in peace, and He will forgive us for the small misstep.
@Omar Sheriff Kaptan The Strongs Concordance is simply the definition of the Greek words that were used to write the King James Version. The King James Version was translated from the "Masoretic Text" and original Greek version. Do you believe the King James Version is inspired?
Also other examples for you. (Sorry I misunderstood your previous message) I thought you were quoting old testament:
1 Timothy 3:11 still uses the word Gunee but this time it says Wife. The Greek word hasn't changed, but the interpreters tried to get a more complex language, Greek, and put it in the very simplified language of English and it lost some of its nuance, but it did not lose it's power for those who use the Spirit.
1 Timothy 5:14 uses the word "neos" and it's translated as "Young Women" (who have not been married). So Paul is very educated in his Greek, you can trust he means what he says.
*And here is the most important context of your answer*
If Paul said in 1 Timothy 2:14-15:
And Adam was not deceived, but the *woman* ... fell into transgression.
The word here for woman again is gunee. Was not Eve Adam's wife? Sorry for the translators.
      Then the word says:
Nevertheless *she will be saved in childbearing* if they continue in faith, love, and holiness, with self-control.
      I Timothy 2:15 NKJV
How could all women be saved in childbearing? Only Wives can be saved in childbearing. Not all women will bear children. So when Paul uses Gunee he is writing a letter to Timothy for his work ministering to married women and men in Ephesus, as well as ministering to all others.
Thanks be to God we can use the letter to better understand the Character and Desire if God and make it fit within our own lives even 2 thousand years later.
Hope that help clarifies the issue. It is nuanced, but not veiled if you research. I am sorry that the Translators made these small translation decisions. But it works for our Good for those who fear The Lord.
With Love. Here to answer sincere questions. Thanks be to Jesus!

Choosing God is always the right way to go. The Holy Spirit is our teacher, our director, our counselor, and so much more. He will never lead you to violate the Scriptures and telling people about Jesus fulfills the command to go into all the world and share the gospel. Go girl, go with the leading of the Holy Spirit and forget about the ones who tell you can’t simply because of your gender. The description of the Holy Spirit as our helper is the same word used to describe Eve in Genesis. It’s interesting that the Holy Spirit often has been treated as a ‘lesser’ Person of the Godhead, even though He, too, is God. Women also seem to be treated as ‘less than’ even though Eve was taken out of Adam’s side and God told both Adam and Eve to have dominion over all things. What we’re experiencing is a result of the fall from Grace, not God’s original blueprint for mankind. The Bible tells us to study to show ourselves approved. Without the revelation and teaching of scripture through the Holy Spirit, we’ll lack the insight and understanding of scripture and interpret it through our fallen nature, not through the lens of accuracy and truth that only the Holy Spirit can provide.

A very wise man once said "A house divided against itself cannot stand". It's not even logical to credit the Holy Spirit's works to Satan. What does he gain by people being healed and set free?
Not sure which doctrine you follow but the Pharisees said the EXACT same thing about Jesus and in response he had a lot to say to them.
So If I were you I'd be very careful about what you say about people, because you may very well be unintentionally condemning the Holy Spirit.

@@sibusisiwendlangisa970 That's not even God's order to start with, but was Paul's opinions, and Paul was a man, not God. Did Jesus ever restrict women from serving God? Were there not female rulers, judges, prophetesses and evangelists before Jesus walked the Earth? Which other Apostle apart from Paul told women not to function in church? Jesus even had female disciples and women who served him in the Gospels. Realise that Paul was an imperfect man who made mistakes and it's all written in his epistles. Also, he wasn't a disciples of Jesus but a persecutor which Jesus had to convert. So before you take Paul's words as doctrine, first of all examine it with other Apostles and Jesus Himself.

Romans 16:1 (NIV) "I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a deacon of the church in Cenchreae."
Other translations use "servant" instead of "deacon" but the word in the Hebrew Bible is "shammash." Which is servant but refers to a "salaried sexton; a salaried sexton in a Jewish synagogue whose duties now generally include secretarial work and assistance to the cantor, or hazan, who directs the public service."
Now i am not sure if directs the public service means preach or just organize the proceedings of the service.

Yes women are allowed to teach, but only with a man as the head of the congregation, or as a spiritual head over them in Ministry. This is because the authority of a man makes it difficult for the devil to influence/manipulate, that's why satan went to eve in eden and not adam.
There's absolutely nothing wrong with holding the mic to preach God's word,
But women don't have rights in The body of Christ to "Establish Doctrines". Two different things.

Not true. Women are to be silent in the churches. 1 Corinthians 14:33-36: "33For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints. 34Let your women keep silence in the churches: for it is not permitted unto them to speak; but they are commanded to be under obedience, as also saith the law. 35And if they will learn any thing, let them ask their husbands at home: for it is a shame for women to speak in the church. 36What? came the word of God out from you? or came it unto you only?"

Please read the passage he cited and keep going. He is taking this out of context which can be clearly seen in the next sentence where the women were to instead, ask their husbands at home. These were not women vying for the pulpit and the women here were clearly not learned enough (as was typical in that time) to teach on the faith. They were clearly being disruptive in some way so they were told to be quiet and ask their husbands at home. This passage is often used erroneously. That is why I point it out. Make the point from a passage that is actually talking about the issue.
