My 5000 certate has served me well for 3 years now, still feels like a new reel : ) Just got a 3000 size certate when they dropped in price for seatrout fishing. Tired of my stradic fl having unpredictable drag and the bail arm closing mid cast.
Hello to all who reads this...im taking opinions on a rod for this reel (5000) size. Trying to find a good saltwater rod to pair it with. I'm looking for a 2 piece rod med heavy..but mostly want a heavy rod with a line rate about 20- 50 pounds. Please reply back..open to all. Thanks
What price range and what country do you live in? I mean the only technical thing is the rod guides and real seat, everything else is subjective so a bigger tackle shop is probably the best way. I think a real casting max of 100g ~3oz would be the heaviest I go with such a small, light reel but as long as the reel can produce enough drag it doesn't matter all that much, I just like a bigger, heavier reel with more line and drag if using a heavier rod anyway
@@LIVeReel101 Daiwa has become a gimmicky brand with no real improvement to their new products, its all to make them more money. The new certate is going to be the exact same reel as the 2019 model, they just added their crap "airdrive" tech to make it look sexier but it will only limits the self servicability even more and forces you to send the reel in for any kind of repair and doesn't change performance at all.
I will be buying and trying the new certate lt. Time will prove if its a better or worse reel. If its as good as the 2019 model, ill be happy. I do agree w/you though. I can see some changes i like and dislike however.
The new Certate its actually better and looks nice regardless of small efficient changes but not a big innovation tho. My main concert is the fucking price LMAO. It went from 500 to 630 for 5k size now imagine how much the new Cerate SW will cost.

2024 daiwa certate 5000d reel review here: czcams.com/video/EzX8H9BrdNQ/video.htmlsi=4Ra81T-cj1vC-CAb
The SW cones in 2 or 3 ratios
Old model already
The 2019 will remain superior
The 2024 Certate LT will most likely be inferior to the 2019 Certate LT
Why you think new model will be worse?
@@LIVeReel101 because the 2019 model is near utterly prefect. It doesnt need tweeked or fixed or upgraded. 🤙👍
