Awesome reaction to Terremana the rocks tequila, I was born in Jesus Maria the town where they produce it in Mexico in the highlands of the state of Jalisco I have not had this brand of tequila but I have had the tequila produced by the tequila factory making this tequila and it makes me very proud to know my people are producing great quality.

Nice video. I was a little surprised you were expecting more smoke from an *Irish* whiskey.
There are plenty of peated whiskeys from Scotland... but it's not a common thing in Ireland. (Connemara being a rare exception)

I was thinking the same thing. Also- Proper 12 is young, I believe it just hits that 3 year requirement. It'll be interesting to see if they release age statement batches down the road, because it would be nice to try a 7 or a 12 to see if there's any more complexity to this otherwise simple whiskey.
I’ve seen multiple reviews saying proper 12 is trash and I don’t get it. I prefer it over Jameson sometimes

I think we should have a class discussion here about how homeless people wouldn't exist if people like you didn't need unnecessary content produced by rich people like this. If we held wealthy people accountable we could solve all sorts of problems. Instead, we wanna know what celebrity liquor tastes best. And then congratulate people for being successful when they started with money and love and all that. Like this isn't a "success* story. It's a "we have money and wanna show it off" story. Each to their own but surprised when you mentioned there being no smoke taste in the whiskey! It is an Irish whiskey, apart from some exceptions such as Connemara, you will shouldn't expect to find smoky notes!

The best description for Proper 12 that I could come up with after tasting it was ‘ethanol laced with synthetic vanilla’

I mean depends on the glass and expectations.
I though it was a great on the rocks sipper it breaks it up a little better. That being said I’ve had 100 dollar bottles of bourbon and Irish whiskey that were way worse and I’ve had 20 dollar bottles that were better.
I’m kind of curious to see how dustins bourbon is especially since it’s a hosh posh of bourbons blended together from other distilleries.

This is my favorite video you guys have done! Love how you guys were not negative. Proper 12 need some water to open it up and it holds up in a cocktail. If Conor didn’t make this whiskey I feel like people would like it more.

Aviation Gin was an award winning gin before any celebrity involvement (originally distilled in Portland, OR). The brand was bought by Ryan and then sold to Diageo (I think).

Great vid guys. I think it would be awesome if you made a simple drink with a similarly priced liquor and compared the two. Like with the proper twelve compare it to a Jameson in a whisky sour. With the aviation gin a gin-a-tonic or Manhattan with a similar priced. And of course a margarita for the tequila

Fun fact, Aviation was originally produced here in Portland, OR from House Spirits Distillery before Ryan Reynolds bought a stake in it. It's still made here but House Spirits sold it a while back. Definitely check out more from House Spirits Distillery! They have some amazing whiskey.

I had mixed feelings about Proper 12 as well. I couldn’t wait to finish the bottle, just so I didn’t feel like I wasted my money and went straight back to my friend Jameson. Not impressed with Conor’s whiskey
I haven't met 1 person who actually drinks it. Most people I know bought some to try it; but no one ever bought it again lol
I found it tasted a lot like Bushmills, good smooth whiskey but Jameson is much nicer in my opinion.
It's very average tasting.
Proper 12 is terrible.

Great video. I would only say maybe add a comparison to what it taste like. When I tried Proper Twelve it reminded me of a Canadian Whisky like a Crown Royal, smooth but pretty basic flavor profile. I never tried Aviator Gin, does it remind you of a Hendrix or a Monkey 47? I would be interested in knowing your experiences and what you would compare these celebrity sprits to what you have had in the past.

I got a bottle of Proper 12 a cpl years ago for Christmas and it was what I expected. It was pretty good lol. If you're curious, you're not gonna throw it away if you buy it , you'll finish it off.

Yea I don’t understand how people keep saying it’s so good and smooth. It smells like pure ethanol with strong aftertastes of ethanol.

When i had it, i thought it was really smooth. However it has a horrible after taste to it.
@@godofwar1es94 I’ve had a few bottled now to make sure I didn’t have a bad batch. It’s pretty much impossible to drink neat or on the rocks.
It’s cheap so it’s not a surprise just interesting when compared to other quality tequilas it’s at the very bottom of the quality spectrum for me

Never tried the other 2 and I don’t drink anymore either… but I did try proper twelve, whiskey was my go to but proper twelve is absolutely terrible. What’s throwing you off is that it tastes like damn burning tire. Lol it was smooth I’ll give it that… but that is where my compliments on it end.
