    And suddenly the card title "A Normal Man" makes sense.
    I love the humility in the statement he makes there.

    As a casual Chinese fan, I usually just watch Serral matches, and Serral got eliminated in a zvz as usual, then I switched to Reynor, found out he's also taken out by some random new Korean player called Oliveira... I lost all my interest and proceed to only watch the final, and it was such an epic show of Oliveira absolutely dismentled Maru, I've never seen Maru got this tilted, he had shown more emotion in this series than his whole career probably. That's actually the time I found out Oliveira was actually Time, and he's our player! I cried when he won, I cried when he gave the post game interview, and I went back watching the whole run, it was double epic! I consume SC2 content like uthermal's daily, but I couldn't really watch anything other than Oliveira related for a few days now, everything else is tasteless.

      I then had a dream of Jesus coming before God and he spoke of the Tabernacle in perfect context, "A word I didn't know existed.", and what I felt from Jesus when I held him was unlike anything I've ever felt before - A lifetime of Love every second - It brought me to sobbing and it changed my life, forever.

    Literally the best move ever goes unnoticed by almost everyone. As Oliveira pushes Maru's main base at 54:47 he has liberators at both Maru's 5th and 6th base killing over 30 workers, which is what really put him far ahead at that point. A normal man totally outplayed the world champion.

    I rarely root for a player but let me tell you why I did for Oliveira. Often times high level players are just so good with basic micro and macro that they win by default just being a better player. But when I first saw oliveiras games this tournament, I was saying "holy shit" way too many times: one for every little cute concave, or micro trick or engagement decision. He utilises many small things to give himself an edge over oponent and thats what made him so appealing. "A normal man" that has to work for greatness

    @winterstarcraft it would be appreciated if you can show the brackets and results at the end of your tournament games videos. We can't really check it ourself on wiki without getting spoil before your next video. Great casting as usual. Thank you

    i love the speech at the end where shes saying all these amaing things and in the background maru is face down packing his things while this happens right behind him i feel so bad for him bro hahaha. damn maru unlucky.

  • @theofanispatitsas7111

    Damn, Oliveira seems to have nerves of steel. He never panics; even when things go terribly bad he just re-adjusts.

    54:53 Look how many SCVs Maru loses during this fight. Now, go back to 54:53, and look at the six-o-clock position. There's a Liberator killing SCVs.

    • @ben-we
      @ben-we Před rokem

      yeah 6 o’clock and maybe 10 o’clock because that’s where marus camera went right after the fight. seems like no one noticed between winter and the live casters. those scv kills put oliveira so far ahead

    • @misko272
      @misko272 Před rokem

      @@ben-we didn't even notice 10 o'clock but you're right. What a killer move. As winter might say there's always a kicker and damn if that wasn't a huge one. Maru devoting everything to the push on the main meanwhile Oliveira basically halving Maru's SCV number really left Maru in dire straits economically.

    I said it before. But I’ll say it again. Only a fool doesn’t fear a Normal Man. And to me this series was very much a George Patton moment.

    0.37% on paper to win games! 🏆 lucky for us Starcraft 2, is not played on paper. Oliveira, is he the biggest underdog ever to take this IEM? Wow! Biggest in any game anywhere?

  • @vanyel_etc8695

    The problem with the 0.37% chance of Oliveira winning is that they forgot to add kurt angle into the mix

    He not only fulfilled his own dream, but also the dream of Chinese people for twenty years. He humbly practiced like a solitary monk every day, and he is only 22 years old. Currently, there are no Blizzard servers in China, and Starcraft II has become a game with few players. However, his competitive spirit and perseverance have given strength to the esports world.
