IDOM Riyadh Iconic Bridge DUNE

Stretching over 12-km, the Abi Bakr Al-Siddiq Road is a new three-lane urban highway in the City of Riyadh. Traffic will now flow at speeds of up to 100 km/h, thereby easing congestion on the north-south route. One of the most outstanding structures of the project is the iconic "Dune" bridge over the intersection at Iman Saud Road. With a total length of 326 m, the bridge has a central span of 77 m. The bridge is a metallic latticework structure, covered with an anodized aluminum skin that imitates the shape of the dunes, giving the project its identity and character. Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) has put its trust in IDOM to develop the preliminary design, detailed design, and construction management of the infrastructure.
