That hedgehog is TRV3 KVLT!
My buddy just called you the Bob Ross of Black Metal lmao
powerful
the opening fast fckin black metal riffs reminded me so hard on FN SCAR by Wiegedood. Fucking love it
"It's best to listen to a lot of different music, not just black metal, for your influences and your writing. You can learn a lot more from not listening to black metal"
Instructions unclear, made a bunch of symphonic black metal songs that have melodic death metal, prog metal, power metal, and a bit of folk metal elements in it too for good measure. Still sounds awesome though!
I meant listening to music outside of the metal spectrum
@@DevGohil Oh, I did that too. I listened to a lot of classical music and video game soundtracks for inspiration as well. Regardless, I just came across your channel recently and have been finding your lessons pretty useful!
@@ZekeNigma thanks man

I've always wanted to write stuff in an alcest/deafheaven sort of way, but for some reason I'm too dumb to even begin to figure out where to start
Diatonic chord progressions and R E V E R B
@@DevGohil Hell yea I wrote a really nice riff using these. Thanks :D
Who gave a dislike... Shame on you

Dean ML Modifier
@@DevGohil спасибо супер твориш
@@DevGohil how do you like it in terms of build quality?recommend it?
petin petr excellent guitar, mine just needs refretting
I can't figure out how to write DSBM riffs without sounding like some emo punk band. lol
try using a clean ish tone with sone reverb
DSBM is 50% execution and 50% diatonic chords
@@jim7300 I've got the clean parts down, its the distorted riffs I'm not quite good at.
@@DevGohil Apparently my execution is way off because trem picking a sad power chord progression sounds like My Chemical Romance or some shit. lol
@@HateMyself247 im no pro but maybe try to focus less on sadness or the melody and more on the power of the riff or the dissonance of it
what separates DSBM from emo stuff is how powerful the songs are (in my opinion). learn some Xasthur riffs and see what he does
also for example, Transylvanian Hunger has a very melancholic feel but the riffs themselves dont have any "in your face" sad elements (i mean u dont have to arpeggiate a super sad chord, just trem pick 2 note chords and combine them with other stuff)
Hail Satan!
