We are with the students, don't call them traitors for fighting an old fashioned quota system, this must be changed. Over 70 men killed and 30 over our sisters violated, this secular democratic system isn't working here, we need a council of Ulema to keep corruption in check when the people in power are lining up their pockets after receiving money to improve infrastructure. This needs to end.

Quota systems are enforced in most nations (disabled/ethnic minorities etc.). In Bangladesh, the system was removed when students demonstrated last time (around 2018). But a court ruling overturned this decision. The students came out again and we are at the current impasse. The situation is being flamed/politicised by certain groups, turning it violent. Video emerged of attacks by the security apparatus on the demonstrators., there are also images of demonstrators attacking the police/security.
Since there is a court ruling, the students should have appealed to the court to overturn/amend their decision. Restraint from both side is needed to quell the unrest.
This quota is not to ensure minority representation. This is to get people of a certain list (made up as they willed to protect the gov) in only.
The Court is no longer independent.
BCL is a long arm of the one-party govt and carrying out acts of T against people.
As soon as BCL and police started trapping people, this is no longer about quota.
To all, there will be many like 33ace33 who will try to water this down and cast doubt against innocents. Do not listen. Govt is at fault, the media and police are in pockets of govt, BAL, and BCL.

So not deserving people is entering education sector destroying development
Students are protesting to demolish this system and job should be given based on merit
