Usually once you see blood seeping through to the outer most layer you should remove and replace with new gauze. Clean the wound, preferably not alcohol as it kills a lot of the cells your body sends to heal and protect the area prolonging the process. Apply vaseline and polysporin to both the gauze and affected area to prevent infection.
Yikes...sorry that happened to you. You def need to remove that gauze off ASAP so your wound can breathe a little... and get a good antibiotic on it. I recommend soaking your hand (not just the finger) in warm water for a little while, preferably distilled. Once you get that gauze off, get your antibiotic on! (Or vaseline--need to create a layer of protection), and a new bandaid.

Hope everything heals alright. Get rid of that gauze though. You don't want it stuck on your wound.
