Revolution, Faith, Loss and Escape - Manya's Story

- Dr Manya Yazdani was born and raised in Iran and came of age at a time of revolution and instability. In this atmosphere she found herself confronting questions of faith and family, loss and meaning, and charting her path to create change and betterment in the world.
Years later, having come to Australia as a refugee, Manya now resides in Western Australia contributing to her community both as a medical doctor and as a Baha'i. She gracefully agreed to share her story with us all.
We are sharing Manya's Story for World Refugee Day and also to honour the 10 Baha'i women who were unjustly executed 40 years ago.
