Question of certainty is interesting. Luther's whole project was about certainty via Justification by Faith. Justification was his attempt to quell his own doubts, like the question he asked himself in Rome.........."what if this isn't true?"
What authority do you have to help a Catholic out with their faith? Do you believe that concepts like sola scriptura or sola fide were present in the early church?
They become Catholic because they recognize the fact that Jesus founded one true Church. Not thousands.
