Love the concept of curating a wardrobe influenced by style images from our youth and what we were drawn to. Your love of Old Hollywood, sounds a lot like what inspired Ralph Lauren to build his multi-billion dollar brand. And his runway styles have included images similar to The Undertaker's...with long leather coats and fedoras. This is what makes a wardrobe "trend proof" and very personal. It's your style and your style should reflect your story....the story of your life or the story of the life you aspired to have. Love this topic!

I have no Hermes, Chanel and LV in my collection. My flashiest bag is a pre loved classic Medium Lady Dior. My brightest color is a sky blue Delvaux Tempete. My favorite go to is a Rick Owens Griffin Bag. Feels good to stand out in a sea of trends.

That is a lovely collection. Delvaux bags are the pinnacle of quality for me. Getting authentic preloved bags is about the only thing that makes sense now.

I like and agree with you message that ultimately you should base your style off your personal taste. If you only care to have the latest IT item that is up to you.

Great commentary. When I first got into luxury, I made a ton of mistakes and felt the need to follow trends. Then I remembered the people I’m watching on tv is not my real life lol.
I sold a ton of things and started over fresh defining what I really love and also what works for ny lifestyle. Also SLOWLY adding. Because you will find if you think about something long enough you will know for sure if you truly want something or was it was momentary
Would love to see your other handbags

Before the luxury houses started fast fashion with their bags, wanting the iconic bags made sense, but that's not the case, so I have to consider a lot before buying any bags, and it's absolutely not fun for me anymore.
I planned to make one video about bags a year, and I considered this to be it for this year, but I may make another one soon. I want to enjoy fashion or styling from clothes again cause I fell into the trap of just adding a fancy bag and calling myself or someone else stylish.
Thank you for your comment đŸ€Ž

I agree that the so called fashion setters/girls put out too often the supposedly “IN’’ things and this puts pressure on women who want to belong to the fashionista group . The new bags from the luxury designers are so wishwasy ( I love bags but so unimpressed now that not bought one in a year or two ) and wonder who their designers are . They are quick to chuck out the old designs that was raved about because it’s not the design of the new creative designer and wanting to outdo the predecessor, it would have been better to rather play with colors, texture or type of leather and skin with 2-3 classic designs just like Hermes is doing with Birkin & Kelly .This for brands like Dior, Chanel, Bottega would have increased their value.
In essence one needs to define one’s style and stick to it and be swayed into an unreal life !!

I get annoyed when every you tuber says oh you have to have trends to get dressed. No you don't if you have things you love and wear them then it's your style.
Trends are polk dots and stripes or mini skirts. Please thiese things have never gone out of style if you love them you wear them.
Let's be honest a lot of social medias influencers get paid to push the newest trends they aren't doing it because the love it
they are making money from those who don't have their own style and will take their word. before zara and all the fast fashion brands
luxury brands didn't have all these drops they had spring fall winter summer now you can't keep up its ridiculous.

I think it's gone too far, and the status games being played are just silly.
