I needed this tonight. I remember my dad who was a carpenter making my mom surprise things. Like nite stand, custom cabinets and well anything. I did the same for my wife who passed away. Its great to see a couple do fir each other. Life has its problems. Lord knows. But having an appreciation of a loving partner makes it all easier.
GREAT WORK! I love WOOD! You can always add shelves with pegs or shelf pins. Just drill a few holes on each inside wall and place pegs/pins and shelves where you want. Cedar is always a beautiful wood. I do all I can with any wood I get my hands on, even make my own tool handles. I recently found an old hatchet and am making a new oak handle for it. BLESS Y'ALL!
That's absolutely awesome!!! When I have shelves that are tall I use an L bracket attached to the underside of the highest shelf and attach it to the wall.
Oh no, never use cedar for fire wood. Such beautiful wood. When we cleaned my mom's house out and moved her up here with me, a cedar chest and chifferobe she bought when I was probably 4 or 5 was falling apart. The boards were glued together back then. My sister said you could use it for fire food. I said OH NO! I'll have it restored. OMG, that set is so beautiful, and my childhood memories could never be replaced. Good job Andy.

Andy, you did a great job it’s beautiful and I know Megan gonna put good use to it .. before my husband took ill, he built me some very nice cabinets in my bedroom. My bedroom is so small I don’t even have room for a proper dresser to put my clothes in. We have one small bedroom closet and then we added those brackets on the wall in the bedroom so he built me, these shelves that we mounted in the wall to make it look like a built-in and they are handcrafted with a tongue and tail or something like that. I don’t know but they’re beautiful and they are there because what we do is fold our clothes that are shirts, and then we tuck them in the shelves love them I have a lot of built pieces I used to have a good carpenter but he passed but he built me several pieces in my house and also my brother built me a beautiful cabinet that I’ve had 30 years I just gave it a fresh coat of paint so so I love the wood real wood stuff I really do you can look up CZcams university and learn to do a lot of other things I’ve seen where they do the wood is that look farm style out of real wood I think The hollered Homes has one and a few others have one but man I love all that it is made out of real wood not particleboard, but real wood you can stain you can you know you can stain you can paint you did good I’m sure this is just gonna be the beginning for you Andy 🔨 🎄🎁
