We learn about this in schools in Poland since we are 12 or 13, even earlier. My parents were living during communism in Poland. My great grandmas told me about how they survived the war and concentration camps in Germany. It is very real for us Poles as we respect our heritage and everything that our ancestors had to go through. Thank you for your compassion and the time that you didn't have to spend on getting to know our history.

Wielu obcokrajowców dopiero poznają Polskę na youtube i spróbują szczęścia w Polsce. Mamy swoją tradycję, swoją historię, a Polska jest od początku do końca nasza. Trudny język to taki kod Polski nie do zdobycia jak Matrix. Garstka przeciw tysiącom. Polska przez 300 lat była wielokrotnie najeżdżana. Polska jest przykładem dla Europy. Jesteśmy wzorem dla wszystkich chrześcijan i patriotów. Nie pozwolimy na zniesławienia Polski która nie istniała na mapie przez 123 lat. Tak nam dopomóż Bóg. Ja jestem Polak, a Polak jest wariat, a wariat to lepszy gość. Ojczyznę kocham za to przede wszystkim, że to kraj z którego pochodzę i właśnie tu są moje korzenie. Polskę kocham również za nasz piękny , ojczysty język, naszą kulturę i tradycję, ale też za naszą, niepowtarzalną i ciekawą historię. Polskę kocham przede wszystkim za to, że jest to moja Ojczyzna, bezpieczne rodzinne strony, do których zawsze mogę powrócić. Polskę kocham również za nasze unikalne tradycje, kulturę oraz bardzo trudną historię. Kochamy polskie miasta i miasteczka. Ich unikatowy klimat, architekturę i mieszkańców. Germany and Russia invaded Poland in 1939. We regained independence in 1918, so we only enjoyed freedom for 20 years, and before that we were in captivity for 123 years. Poland was erased from the world map by and taken prisoner by the Germans, Russians and Austrians.
not 20... just after 1918 our ancestors had to stop over a million bolsheviks in their raid towards the west in the Polish-Bolshevik war, again they prevailed and made a stand against this horde saving the rest of Europe.

Poland were almost always in the middle of the action, especially because germany and russia fought each other a lot and they were simply affected by it because they are right in between.
Except the Second World War, that was planned.
Actually, the aggression always came from germany or russia.
At the moment germany is quiet and russia is making war.

Im glad a was born in 1987, i was 3y old when comunism was abolished, but i remember the struggle of my parents in 90's we cant affort to many thinkks like going to school cinema for 0,5$ per film becaus eit was to much, my mom was rasing us 5 childrens, and dad was working and later often go drinking, we so privlige now if you compare that times to now, and i dont even want to compare live in 1940's... please God no more war!

To commemorate this day, called Bloody Sunday, every year we celebrate the National Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Genocide committed by Ukrainian nationalists. In the years 1943-1945, in Volhynia and Eastern Lesser Poland, Ukrainian nationalists murdered from 80,000 to 120,000. Poles. The precise number of victims is impossible to determine. The goal of the criminals from the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (Banderites) and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army was to destroy the Polish nation in the areas they considered Ukrainian. As a consequence of the planned genocide, several hundred thousand Poles fled from these areas to save themselves from cruel death, torture and mutilation.
The victims were women (including pregnant women), children and the elderly, because the men went to fight against the Germans. The Ukrainians murdered the defenseless in such a terrible way that even the German SS men (who also committed war crimes) were terrified of the horrors that the Ukrainian gangs committed on Poles and Ukrainians who were saving Poles and did not want to murder them.

Obecna granica niemiecko-polska jest taka jak na początku istnienia Polski - w X wieku (czyli przed podbojami Drang nach Osten). Jest to zarazem najkrótsza granica z możliwych i jednocześnie naturalna (na rzece).
Jeżeli Niemcy chcą jej zmiany, to może być na Łabie, zgodnie z zasięgiem z XI wieku, kiedy pierwszy polski król włączył do Polski słowiańskie Łużyce. Nawet nazwa "Berlin" jest słowiańska - jak "Dęblin", "Lublin" i in. - natomiast w niemczyźnie to słowo nic nie znaczy.
