Looks more like neighbouring Deutschland (Germany) than the rest of France !!..... Especially the half timbered houses gives such an impression !!

Alsace, France borders Germany and has been ruled by France and Germany in its history. So, that makes sense. So gorgeous!

What I like about Alsace in particular is that , this region has withstood many a tough times in history , starting from the Napoleonic Wars , Franco - German War and finally the two world wars ....and yet the Alsatians did a good job in preserving the local architechture influenced by German 'Fachwerk' which makes it quite unique and sets it apart from the rest of France . They also speak the local Alsatian German dialect which although is currently in declination , still a significant portion of the population speaks it , which ,considering the political scenario at that time , was not affected by the growing French propaganda at that time ...!!

We will be visiting Riquewihr in December. And I noticed this video. I like the information that's given, the great quality video and the music is a good addition so better keep it. But try to leave it out during talking, or try to lower the volume of the music so we can focus better on what's mentioned. Apart from that, keep it up! Will definitely subscribe :)

+Mark van Limburg Excellent advice, thank you so much!!!
You will be visiting one of our favorite parts of the world! Riquewihr is very close to equally lovely Ribeauville. And Colmar! Hopefully, you’ll get to check those out as well. We have videos on our channel about these incredible spots if you’re interested. Let me know if you’d like me to post some links here!
This past summer, we posted a video every single day on our 9-week trip to Europe. Now that we’re back home, we do one each week. I hope you like our new style!
