  • **Please note, I no longer use and cannot recommend Dixie Belle Paint products due to highly questionable business practices, contract violations, and unethical treatment of artists and retailers that led to mine and numerous others resignations in late 2021. Please see the links below for more information. I have chosen to leave this video content up for learning purposes only, but highly recommend considering other products when trying to achieve these same techniques. There are too many good product brands on the market to support a brand with these practices. I've included links to my most used options below

    You are an artist when it comes to painting. I love your work and you’re very generous to give us all these great tips you’ve learned along the way. I’ve told you before, you would have made a great teacher if you didn’t do this for a living. You explain things very well. Thank you again for sharing. That piece is amazing as always.

    This is an easy technique and the results are stunning. I did this on a d/r table. It looked VERY nice afterward. Glad you did a video showing how it's done.
    The piece looks beautiful. But I expect nothing less than 'beautiful' from you. You're so very talented.

      I actually discovered this technique by accident. I was doing some dry brushing on a d/r table that I had painted white. I accidentally spilled water and had to wipe it up. That's when I discovered how beautiful this technique actually is. I did the entire table that way. It turned out great.
      I have been watching your videos lately because you are a master blender!!! There are others I watch who also do blending but there's something about your pieces that stands apart. I really want to do some blending myself so I'm watching and learning.
      I really enjoy your content. Thank you so much for sharing and teaching us in the Furniture design community how to do it and do it right.

    When you applied the coffee bean, was it mixed with water, other than what you sprayed ? If so what was the ratio? The piece is beautiful!! You do such great work and I so appreciate you sharing with us.

    This piece looks gorgeous..I'm doing something similar but with a cream base and a truffle color wash..but it isn't turning out the way I want..now the cream has a brownish tint to it and I'm not quite sure how to fix it..what would you suggest I do to try and fix/make it less obvious?

    • @BrushedbyBrandy
      @BrushedbyBrandy  Před rokem

      leave a more streaky effect when wiping away and applying layers of different colors in the same streaky manner for a layered effect

    How long did you let you let the French linen dry before applying the coffee bean ? and how many COATS OF French LINEN DI YOU USE.

    Hi! I saw you attended the Annie Sloan event in NO, LA and wondered if you have recently switched from DB to AS, or if you still you Dixie for some projects? I’ve tried both paints and I just don’t think DB comes anywhere close to the quality of Annie’s.

      @BrushedbyBrandy  Před rokem

      I no longer have any affiliation with DB abd wint use any of their products after some poor decisions and questionable behavior on their part. Using a variety of brands now, including Annie Sloan. Here is more info on our exit last December, 5 of us left
