- Hello guys! I am sharing this video of my speech as a Graduation Guest Speaker taken by my husband, Gary, last March 30, 2019.
That day was indeed a very memorable day for me as it is to the completers and graduates of Batch 2019 of my Alma Mater, Puntod National High School. It was really an honor to be able to be able to give words of inspiration to the new graduates. Even if I'm a bit hesitant to accept the offer to be a Guest Speaker at first as I am not that confident with my life's achievement but just right after I gave that speech, I have realized that I have made the best decision of accepting it. It just felt so good. My heart is happy. 💛

Ano ba ang kahulugan ng tagumpay.... o mas mainam na tanong ay...ano ang pagkaunawa natin sa tinatawag na tagumpay.... ito ba ay ang maging sikat?.... ito ba'y maging matalino? o ito ba ay maging mayaman at maabot ang lukluk ng karangyaan? Sa kabilang dako, ito ba ay ang maging katangi-tanging matinong tao na mapagmahal sa sa pamilya, sa kapwa sumusunod sa patakaran ng lipunan? napagtanto kong iiwan ko na lang ang mga katanungan sa inyo. Sa pagpapatuloy, at higit na mas mahalaga, ano ang tagumpay sa isang mag-aaral?
Ano ang tinatawag na edukasyon, ito ba ay para sa kapirasong papel na buong pagmamalaking ididikit sa dingding ng ating mga tahanan?
Dahil ba....ito ang nararapat ayun sa atas ng lipunan?
Bigyan ko kayo ng kaunting kasagutan.... Ito ay paghahanda sa mga susunod na yugto ng ating buhay....upang tayo ay maging ulirang kabiyak at ama o ina sa mabubuo nating pamilya...yun ang sinasabing kagandahan ng edukasyon...
Ngunit ito ang tanong, tanging edukasyon lang ba ang daan patungo sa tagumpay?
Maraming nakatapos na maraming natutunan sa kolehiyo ngunit walang alam sa buhay. Mababaw ang pananaw at kulang sa pagpapahalaga.
Hindi lang ito ang kasagutan.
Hindi lang ito ang daanan sa maligayang buhay.
Kung nais natin ng matagumpay na buhay, ito ay matatamasa lamang kung may kalakip na tunay na kaligayahan dahil sa tamang pag-unawa sa buhay, pagpapahalaga at hindi lamang kaalamang natutunan sa aklat sa paaralan.
