Profitable farming of Tomato || Crop Reformer

Tomato (Lycopersicon lycopersicum) is one of those most important vegetables which are daily used throughout the year all over the country. Its rates are high during the shortage period. Tomato is supplied abundantly from Punjab from April to June and July is the shortage period. Tomato is supplied from KPK and Blochistan from End July to October and July is the shortage period. Tomato of Sindh is supplied from December to March but the period of mid November to mid of December is considered as the period of shortage prior to the initiation of supply from Sindh. If nursery of tomato is planted in August in Punjab and transplanted in September, this crop may fill the gap during this period of shortage. Virus is the major problem in the way of this off -season tomato. Recently, a new virus tolerant variety Lith 804 has been approved for this purpose. In this video, we have suggested that farmers of central Punjab may avail this chance of profitable cultivation of tomato.
