I love how the team didn't just give us a lazily thrown together narration with pictures of the updated items like some developers do. No, instead they give us full fledged mini films with characters, carefully crafted settings, and even a suspenseful little narrative they designed. It really shows how much Facepunch loves to put in hard work and really puts effort into making quality content for the player base. These guys (and girls) are just awesome.
Expectation when playing rust: wow maybe I’ll build a nice looking house with a farm, kill a few people. Reality: 3 massive clan bases and shops everywhere, people who travel in groups of 5 and destroy everybody and everything they see, people destroying any base that isn’t a massive concrete castle

Saw a base recently that was my main source of food that sold food for scrap and such. They made a lot of profit as they sold to a lot of people, they made so much off the food that they didn’t really go outside the base much and just maintained and expanded their indoor farm to the point where it took up a large chunk of a square in the map. People in the server called it the pumpkin patch because it was the most sold item as they had a lot of pumpkins
The movie we didn’t know we needed but we got for quarantine. Can’t wait to get my farming on in Rust!!! This game has really come a long way! Keep up the great work guys!!
This game has come to a point where I can just play on my own server and enjoy surviving and creating, the PvP aspect now is just an added bonus. Love it.
I have my own server, has about 30 people on it....might just wipe and make it private. So tired of being daddy, and getting accused of admin abuse because i had c4 on day 3.

I kept thinking to myself, "the only thing that I need right now is an automatic sprinkler system..." You all took it a step further, and made my dreams of becoming a Hydroponic scientist a reality.. You all are the very meaning of "gods among men." Now, only if I had a harpoon gun, and could use the water pump to drain an enclosed, underwater space... c:

For example: you run around and see a horse, when you come closers to horse for examine her inventory you will be able to see her name and the previous owner. Everyone can name the horse with any name, it if you want to be owner you need to feed and care for this horse for some period of time and name tag of owner automatically appear. Something like that. Before the wipe I had 3 horses, I even build a shelter for them. There was Black Knight, Mr. Grey and Milka.

Im such a fan, it blends very well reality on occasion....shadows dancing on your wall yet? refer to plato. Again, if your name attempts to claim a position, rust is of kind, but unique. a suggestion: So, we now have this fantastic new farming system which is an excellent addition to the game, but unfortunately it doesn’t really have this much use. A potential fix could be that the bigger the group of players, the faster they will go hungry. Although not totally realistic, I think this would balance the game even more. This would force bigger groups/clans/zergs to stop just being hunter/gatherers and start being farmers, while the solo’s and smaller groups (max 4-5) can still just live of the land. This in my opinion kills two birds with one stone, it balances clans a tiny little bit, they will still be the topdogs, but will have to try more to stay topdogs. And it finds a better use for the now not so usefull but still fun farming system. you can kind of think of it like early humans, at first, smaller groups of hunter/gatherers and then after cultivation was invented bigger groups and citys formed. I hope you, both the community and the devs take this suggestion into consideration.
One of my favorite things to do in Rust is to Make the Wood Tea with the farming, and then go chopping tons of wood and sell it for a cheap scrap price. Lumbershop is nice progression if you are poor at pvp as I am.

@@forejtekfilms9190 Naturally occurring Hemp like that in game has very little THC content and is much better suited for cloth production like it is currently used for. You would have to selectively breed many generations of hemp with high THC content to get the kind people commonly smoke.
Probably when they can get the game to use less then 8gb of memory. It uses 10gb of system ram on my pc and that isn't including vram. This won't be an issue on the next gen consoles but it is going to be rough for last gen. ps4 and xbox one have only 8gb memory to share between the gpu and cpu.

Next update should be a weather update! It will make the game way more challenging and make the struggle for resources way higher, it will give the impression “Oh sh*t! Winters coming, I need to make a base, fire, etc.” That would be really cool, I can see this game turning into something really fun.

You could use the sprinklers as base defence in the snow. If someones raiding you full metal and gets wet theyre in a slightly awkward spot.
