Best video I have seen for replacing a screen. Thank you for pointing out all the little parts and what they look like. That was so helpful! I just replaced my screen on my iPhone 5c (first time ever replacing a screen) with the help of this video. Also, it was really helpful that you pointed out the possible problems after connecting everything and what they could mean. Because I did not get it right the first time. Also for any of those people out there who are having trouble getting your device to even light up after you try to turn it on. I found that my new lcd and digitizer ribbon cable connectors didn't have enough pressure holding them down in place, so I put a little extra bit of folded paper on top of the connectors before putting the plate over to secure them. Worked like a charm!

thank you soooo much. i purchased a screen online for twenty pound and was quoted 100 to get the screen replaced in a store. i just followed your video very carefully (i must admit i was sweating with the nerves) but it was so easy to follow your guidelines and the video was so clear. it did take me close to an hour as i was being very slow placing the screws on a iphone 5c screw chart i printed out. but it has worked i have fixed my screen and it is working perfectly . i can not thank you enough as i could not afford to get it replaced professionally. i will recommend anyone i know who has had the misfortune of cracking their screens to follow your page and guidlines. thank you so much.

Great video. Best one i have seen on CZcams as far as description and detail. Camera quality, and zooms are perfect, helped out a lot. This helped me change my screen in less than an hour and it was my first attempt ever. Thank you very much for this tutorial.

Excellent tutorial. Many thanks iCracked. 3 hours later!!!! I’ve got everything working perfectly, thanks to lots of patience and methodically working through your CZcams tutorial. Initial problems I encountered with the touch screen function not working were resolved by carefully reseating the digitiser cable connection and transferring the foam on the back of original digitiser cable connector onto the new one, which helped the connector to stay connected to the motherboard. My iPhone is now as good as new again. Thanks again.

Very helpful instruction, thank you! The hairdryer trick came in handy for me. For anyone new to this it may help to lay down a small towel and a piece of letter paper. The towel to work over, so that in case you drop screws or other parts, they will not bounce away. The paper to put screws on as they are removed, in the pattern they were in the phone, and to make notes for what part they belonged to.

Wow I can't believe it worked. This was so complicated but you made it easy. Two of my screws weren't coming out and I didn't have any other tools small enough. One screw came out with a LOT of force and the other I had to remove by detaching (breaking) a part of the metal frame from the old phone. It worked!!!

This video gets my two thumbs up in many ways. First off, the production is superb. The camera is always focused where it should be and there is no shaking, or jerking of the motion picture. Secondly, the quality of the instruction is simply way too good. And for that I applaud the poster of this video and convey my sincerest thanks. He is most certainly a natural born instructor, who provides his instructions effortlessly, clearly and concisely. How about making an effort to know that a screw is non-magnetic? That shows you the effort the instructor made to learn before teaching. Two thumbs way up. Now, if you find this video instruction inadequate for properly replacing the screen assembly of an iPhone 5c, then I suggest you find something else to do. You are simply not cut out for it.

I just wanted to thank you for this video. I thought I would order this screen and saw a 3 minute video about how to replace it. Then the author said something about you may have to transfer a few things over??? Well no shizzle. luckily this video popped up right after and told/showed me everything I needed to change it over. It was VERY helpful. I felt I could at least share that with you, although I feel bad that I never ordered the screen from you (if that's possible). finding the light diffuser and removing it was a little tricky but I got it.
