- Rock Bouncers Bolt on Paddle tires and Battle it out with Iceland during the First Ever Formula Offroad USA race at Bikini Bottoms Offroad Park in Dyersburg, Tennessee. Formula Offroad Racing with Southern Rock Racing drivers is awesome. This Formula Offroad Hill Climb competition was tough on the Rock Bouncer Buggies with only one of them making it to the final climb of the day. Rock Bouncer formula offroad racing happened. When will the Formula Offroad drivers come do some rock bouncing?

been at a couple of real formula offroad competitions here in sweden. Well, flat out throttle almost all the time, either it goes all the way, or the engine or something else goes boom haha, really fun to watch!

First time I saw a Formula off-road buggy years ago, a Norwegian dude was on a monster race event, to try out his new formula off-road buggy. (Drag race with jumps and mud hole) He won the entire thing!

Man was really rooting for ole boy at the end so close. Been nice if a bouncer could have completed both courses.

Wished the original Showstopper 1.0 turbo terror could have been there! Probably about the best ad hoc Formula-bouncer out of all of them, it even looks a bit like a Formula machine!

Still pretty damn cool this event came together and all those guys came the long haul over to run in our playground! Just awesome! Hope they enjoyed their time here and come back for more and make this a thing! Kinda like how there's a bunch of Aussie's that keep coming back for Drag Week. Thanks for the awesome footage too!

@@chrisodom817 they will never hold up to the abuse of the rocks. It would need to be built different just like a bouncer trying to do formula offroad. Apples to oranges.

it would help, but since they run 43s usually and the paddles are only 35s they are lower than the formula cars

It's amazing how well some did. Still, after the first hill there were no americans on the leaderboard. All in the top 8 were icelandic.

@@BustedKnuckleVideo My point is that I was surprised they did as well as they did, despite not having 100% purpose-built cars for this particular sport. But in the end, you can see why you need to. It's simply too extreme a sport, performed at too high a level, in order to excel at with anything but the best. Like you said; it would be the same if Formula Offroad cars were used in Rock Racing.
If only they still came over to the USA, I'd like to purpose build one to compete

most of them are build with only low range so they wouldn't get over 100mph which would make for a crappy 1/4 mile time

@@BustedKnuckleVideo the axle gearing is wrong. Not the T-case. I very seriously doubt they swapped the gear sets before throwing those smaller tires on. I also doubt they were in low range to begin with as they would run through 3 gears just to get to the base of a hill.
OOh shit. If they had a chance to change there gear ratio it would have been better. You have to be close to ground or it makes you a flipper. OOh shit.

dumb rules
they work
The rules are pretty simple yet can be brutal, and they're also to improve ones skills (so works both ways),
If you roll, your run is over even if you end on the wheels
- 20 points a tire that doesn't go through the gate correctly (- 100 max if you go through it really poorly, at least one tire must go through),
- 50 for stopping (stacks up each time, don't remember how long is considered a full stop),
- 40 for reversing (stacks up each time you do)
and the final gate is usually the hardest so - 10 a tire that doesn't go through it ( - 50 max if attacked with a poor line, again at least one tire must go through it to clear it)
if you roll on your way through the end gate you get only 300 points as you must drive through it for the max of 350, can roll afterwards
