Nigerian Lady Begins Solo Trip From London To Lagos By Car

- Nigeria Lady, Pelumi Nubi, is set to embark on a road trip from London to Lagos, a journey that takes about six and a half hours on a direct flight.
A Peugeot 107 has been customized for Pelumi’s journey which features provision for sleeping and dining.
Preparations for the extensive expedition across Europe to West Africa have been meticulous with safety being a top priority.
Pelumi said she has done ideal preparation for the trip by speaking to people who have done similar trips and researching the policies, the cost, safest route among others.

Exactly! She should stop at hotels to sleep, eat and wash up. Itchy Boots travels round the world on a power bike but she stops at hotels at intervals. Safer that way.

Sounds interesting. Have a safe trip. Not sure about that small car though. Some of the roads are treacherous and in extreme weather conditions particularly heat. I would be thinking of using a rugged Toyota land cruiser fully equipped e.g. with fitted double fuel tank, a fridge, two extra tyres etc. Plus you definitely need a traveling companion. Hmmm...didn't Ginger Baker make this trip sometime in the 70s? What was his experience like?
Go girl! That's an achievable feat. I know a gentleman who did the same in 1970s with his Peugeot 504. Although he calls it youthful exuberance and hunger for adventure, I see it as a bold step in journey of self realization.
