About Us:
My name is Martin. I have been repairing tools and small engines for almost 20 years. We operate a small engine repair shop in Illinois. We service / repair Briggs & Stratton, Kohler, Kawasaki, John Deere, Cub Cadet, Toro Tecumseh, Loncin, Honda, Craftsman, Husqvarna, MTD, Troy Bilt, Simplicity, John Deere, Exmark, LCT, Generac and many more brands. We work on riding mowers, walk behind mowers, snow blowers, zero turns, generators, pressure washers and much more. We normally repair about 3,000 pieces of equipment every year and look at many more that are beyond an affordable repair. Hopefully our videos will save you some money and give you the information you need to work on your own equipment or figure out the issue at hand.

The one thing I cannot understand is why this channel doesn't have a million subscribers... Great video as always!
I appreciate that! One of these year lol
Another great job! But I must confess, I'm equally impressed that you cleaned up your shop😂! 👍👍👍
Haha! The new guy is doing wonders with the place! In the over 5 years we have been here has never looked this good!
Saved me. Was really having trouble getting that left plastic tab in.
Glad to help!
Another excellent video! Great application of experience and common sense in solving a problem. It would be interesting to see JD's tech manual and flat rate for this repair.
Thank you! I am sure they give it at least a couple hours, wonder if they figure in taking off the entire fender and such
I like the new style band aid you have on! ...Great job. PPatience! 😮
Haha sent one of the guys to get them and he picked out the ones that have some sort of Neosporin on them. Interesting all colors, thanks for watching!
Excellent. Love your work. A-1 mehanic
I appreciate your kind words of support!
Thanks 😊
Thank you!
I had that issue with a customer's mower, he didn't care about the gas level, he just wanted to be able to use the deck, so I put the metal clips on, and never replace it with the plastic ones, it's just going to break again.
I agree there, it would definitely be a better option. I get many customers that want their stuff original and do not accept any modifications. I guess it keeps the money flowing, which is likely why John Deere designed it like this in the first place
They make metal brackets. GX22783. Only problem is you lose the fuel gauge.
Whoops, just notice someone else mentioned these 🤪
@@bigjwarlok8538 Yeah but you provide the part number for everyone, thanks for the mention!
Is there a part number for the lever?
There is GX24593 can be purchased at amzn.to/3AmNjdx
Cheap and cheaper JD
AYP mowers are just better built 😊
They are, which is crazy because they used to be bottom of the barrel and now we consider them "better"
Plastic crap should be metal support brackets with 4 bolts would never fail. But anyway good repair video
It sure should be! I have heard from a few that do a delete on the fuel tank gauge with the old style straps
NIce fix, What a pile of crap JD has turned out to be.
Thank you! I see probably 10 or 15 of these every season like this, hit a bump and "poof" it breaks
Plastic 😣 crap.
Definitely the way of everything anymore it seems. So unfortunate
John deer quality is really getting bad.
Many companies are going by the wayside...Kohler was just bought out by a private equity firm, I am sure they will be the next engine manufacturer to cheapen things up significantly
