It's not the real official video, but i think the story behind American Idiot has a lot to do with "the butterfly effect movie" which is an aweosme movie :D

I watched this exact video in middle school as an 11 year old. The clips from butterfly effect fit the song so well. Hopefully this vid never comes down, it's been a huge nostalgia trip for me

Me as well, just recently watched the movie for the first time after my friend was talking about the movie and I asked “in the one scene does a kid get beat up in a movie theater?” And he said yes and I was like oh wow hahaha. Great movie, great song!

Life is Strange took a lot from this movie, Life is Strange is basically Butterfly Effect meets Donnie Darko meets Twin Peaks, with a smidgen of Hard Candy. Not to say it's a bad game by any means, I loved it. But you can totally see their influences.

True, all endings hat some good or bad. It's like through traveling he did not make simply everything better; he just exchanged one suffering for the other. Like there are downsides to being single (loneliness, noone to cuddle) there are also downsides to being in a relationship (less time for yourself, compromise/ decide on many things together instead of simply doing what you want). I'm so glad he did not try to chase her or anything. He realized this will only make him unhappy. He moved on. Such a great ending

Honestly i' have listened to green day since i the day i was born, and this is a great representation of this song. such a really good movie must admit when i first watched it. It was a bit of a head fuck trying to understand it but watching it a second time it began to make more sense but anyway you sir (creator of this music video) have done a brilliant job editing all this together it really goes very well an ties in with the song perfectly :)
