- So the koi pond is pretty much shut down for the season but I need to keep myself busy! So I've got myself a 50 gallon aquarium to work on! In this bonus episode I've discovered some surprise fish fry in my aquarium!

Nice one Matt. Just be aware that the other fish may try to suck the fry through the net. You could even grow them on a bit larger in a container within your sump, as another possibility ie no other fish to eat them 😊Looking great though mate and I'm sure, the first of many !
Cheers Les, I've just bought an ultra fine mesh nursery which seems to be OK, no casualties so far. This event has given me an excuse to go and buy another tank 😃👍

Thats the trouble with guppies they drop fry mostly every 4 weeks so you will be over run with guppies as the females store the male sperm as i notice on your video the male was going at one of the females so if you have a good pet shop who will take them off you you will be ok .if not i would separate the females from the males as the fry get bigger as they can start to give you fry after 6 months i believe 😮 mind you the koi will enjoy them don't tell the misses 😂😂😂😂 great video and the tank looks great look nice with about 8 rummy noses in there if thats a female beta you'll be grand but if its a male it will probably attack them keep up the good work looking forward to more videos
Thanks bud. Yeah the original thought was the larger fish in the tank would mop the fry up, but once that happened I started to feel guilty and started saving them 😐 I've just been out and got another tank which I'm going to put the males in and I should be able to keep the maternity ward under control 😅 the beta is a female and is getting on great with the others so once I take the male guppies out I might consider rummys 👍
