Desert TV: HE IS LEGEND

- Renowned US touring act HE IS LEGEND are playing a gig to you in your lounge room on Desert TV.
Hailing from North Carolina, it’s been close to eight years since He Is Legend stepped foot on our shores, with the band previously appearing in Australia at 2015’s Soundwave Festival alongside Slipknot, Faith No More and Soundgarden, and a previous headline run in 2007.
A torrent of hard rock, monstrous grooves, bluesy flavours and meticulous-yet-melodic metal, He Is Legend have retained a cult-like status since first emerging in the late 90s and early 2000s. Boasting an eclectic lineup of seven full length albums across their career, including their debut LP I Am Hollywood in 2004, 2009’s force of nature It Hates You, 2019’s White Bat and, most recently, 2022’s acclaimed Endless Hallway, He Is Legend may now be over two decades into their musical journey - but few ravenously raise the bar like this group of genuine rockstars in an age of imitation and oversaturation.
The HE IS LEGEND episode airs Sunday 20 August at 2.00pm AEST and is FREE. So get your household ready, stock the fridge, turn the oven on and enjoy the epic live energy delivered by one of the best in the business. RSVP Register your details and the livestream link will be sent direct to your email. Then log in to Desert TV's CZcams channel via the link, join the chat room and you're away! It Hates You and White Bat are TIMELESS works of art. Like a film that could never be remade, lightning in a bottle, sound pictures, cult classics… True gems. A bucket list must-see-live for me. Love from Rochester NY!
Bro my sis went to they're show in San antonio and Schuyler absolutely took care of her and when she told me that I balled 😢 I wish I was there we love HE IS LEGEND
This is the first live recording of He Is Legend with multi-camera and soundboard mixed audio that I am aware of. Being able to hear both Zach and Adam on separate tracks so clearly is just an absolute treat. Thank you so much again for this Desert TV!!!! Absolutely incredible!!!!!!!
Cheers legend!
I've been waiting for this for 20 years or so now. I've seen them at least 20 times, and it's crazy to think that this is their first proper live video recording.
God do this only have 5.5k videos
HE IS LEGEND one of the longest lasting and best underground metal bands of all time. proud to be from NC just like mah boyz
Just wondering what the metric is for this lol.
Im proud to represent these boys from my hometown...91o baby! Wilmington NC forever my dudes...
This performance made got me back into HIL. I’ve been listing to all of their albums and new albums that I never listened to. This band is aging like wine. ❤
I fell in love with this band in 2003 and have been privileged to watch and hear their sound evolve while maintaining their roots for over 20 years. The work on this production is OUTSTANDING thank you Desert TV.

I Am Hollywood was a tasty little surprise at the end!
@@erichenderson7324Theyve ended every show for at least a decade with it
@@lohm8767 I expected it, but didn't see it in the track list, so it was still a nice little surprise!
Recently saw them again in San Diego at Brick by Brick - was awesome! And of course, they ended with I Am Hollywood!
Even with the audio being awesome, nothing does them justice. You have to see them live. It's a whole OTHER WORDLY experience!! I've seen them like maybe 10 times now? Still my favorite band going on 15+ years.
I am Hollywood is still one of my favorite records to date.
sour has been on replay since the album dropped, such a beautiful song
That Pumpkins cover is top-tier. Holy shit.
The sound mix on this is absolutely amazing! Was lucky enough to attend multiple shows on this tour and can’t thank desert TV enough for this!
Cheers mate! Check out other eps at czcams.com/users/deserttv
I already loved my Aussies, but then y'all went and gave us the best live set of HIL in the past half decade.

Adam is so so so so so so so so so so so underrated!!!
My God…best version of “That’s Nasty” I’ve ever heard. So damn good.
I'm sitting here almost 6 minutes in and in awe of how incredible this sounds...been my favorite band since It Hates You and I've never looked back. This shit right here is why. After 20 years they're literally at the top of their game. Saw them on their final date for the Hallway tour (Nashville) and the energy in that room was unreal. They tore the roof off that fucking place...now to hear it like this is literally boner-inducing for me. I mean, what the hell is even the ceiling on these guys? Jesus. Welp, Return To The Garden Is Up now, talk to you guys later.
Cheers mate! Check out other eps at czcams.com/users/deserttv
24:44 man Schuylar is so in tune right here :)
Baby, that's Nasty .
Can't wait for these boys to tour in 2024. My favorite band of all time and I need to catch up on some listening for when they come to town! Thanks for the video.
I Am Hollywood is a MASTERPIECE.
This is so fucking cool. I’ve lost interest in so many bands but he is legend delivers album after album. Endless hallway is basically all I listen to. This show is kickass. Keep this shit coming.
That’s Nasty 🤘🤩
Just saw them live. They never disappoint. Insanely underrated. Best band in the biz 🤘
Oh my shit…this quality is insane. Thank you for the upload!!!

how the fuck am i supposed to sleep now😂😅❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
i wanna see them live so fucking bad 😭😭😭😭😭😭
✊🏾🦇🖤
And again
Respect to every artist’s personal beliefs and rituals, but imo Schuyler would sound 1000000x better if he warmed up his vocals and took singing more seriously. It’s punk rock and raw but objectively also sounds p bad compared to the record. The music isn’t punk, it’s very progressive and technical at times so having the vocals be the punk rock element takes away from the musicianship man…Still my favorite band of all time and listen to all their stuff regularly but man, his live vocals have always been a let down as a mega fan tbh. Just one fan’s personal insignificant opinion ❤
hit it on the head! im reading all these comments like what are you talking about ? As a long time he is legend fan I was kinda bummed out by that :(
46:02 Bliss Pit proposal 💍🦇🤘🏼
Congrats to the happy couple!
The crowd is really disappointing me... I wouldn't be able to stop moving
This is why you don't constantly layer your vocals. Leaves too much to be desired live.
Schuy is taking the get up and go rock thing too far. These vocals sound like he never sings unless hes on stage which is crazy, i feel like if if he would treat his voice like an instrument and take care of it he and the band would probably be bigger.
Seriously. I constantly wonder how big the band would be if their live performance matched their albums. Schuyler is almost never in tune and constantly ad-libbing.
I'm fucking glad my husband and I aren't the only ones who think this. We saw Mastodon & Gojira this year (not comparing) we just got amped to see more shows and we eally wanted to see He is Legend, but after this... I'm fucking hesitant... I wish the vocals didn't sound so bad. 😢 What is really going on? They have the damn talent! I never understood why they hadn't blown up yet but, this.... this concludes it for me and I can't unhear it anymore!! 😭
@@fabzcedillo4616 Saw them on the aussie tour in Sydney, trust me, they play so fucking loud it doesn't matter if he's not singing perfect, the band is straight up high energy. You'll have a good time regardless. They are not a studio band, they are as raw as it gets. The audio on this video while mixed good, doesn't do them justice live.
I second this; They are pretty incredible live and I’ve seen them live many times and schuylar sounds pretty great! They have incredible energy and it’s loud and shakes the room.
This is a good recording but seems to be a straight to board mix; there doesn’t seem to be any room mics picking up the ambience of the room.
Schuylars vocals are incredibly dry here, meaning there’s none of the natural reverb and room ambience you would get in a live setting as well as on a recording. Most people wouldn’t sound as good with such a ‘dry’ mic sound.
