Those shots at the 0:54 second mark and also at the 2:54 mark and 8:00 mark look like they are preparing ground foundations to restore and maybe extend the platform, which would mean they would replace the temporary platform with a permanent one.
Checked the Transport for NSW page, the scope of works say the are doing partial platform removal and reinstatement/extending to platforms 9, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 14,
@@sydneytrainsvlogs Totally, also, for P13 and P14, Transport Vlog kind of figured out where the junctions are go because previous alignments won’t be used. The tracks from P13 and P14 will probably go much further down and then connect with the existing alignment :)

I'm wondering if there's gonna be a planned 7 day or so trackwork for the intercity platforms for them to do the works that they need to do I did notice in the video that an extra overhead wire got added for platforms 9 & 10
I think that there will be a week shutdown of platforms 8-12 when they finally realign the tracks etc for sure! I have read more into the project and will make another video on it in a couple of days. It’s in need of an updated video anyway as this was filmed around 2 weeks ago. Yes the middle road between 9/10 was closed and now there’s stanchions where the middle road was

I was there the other, that part of the platform was very very DIY/ dodgy stuff😂, there was planks and stuff to stop the platform from caving in🤣

I think they may be realigning the track/platform in preparation for Platforms 13/14
