Finally the magic words: "I am sorry". It's interesting that the sentences "I love you" and "I am sorry" are that hard to express. Our stubborn pride and ego make it so hard to express the deepest feelings to a loved one or a friend.

I mean imagine a friend of yours punches you on purpose, pull pranks on you then laughs it off like noone cares, of course you'd feel mad about them
AppleJack definitely made a mistake on considering doing nice things to someone can make them forgive her. And that's how we dont easily forgive, we all want a genuine little "Sorry" not someone who'd just do stuff to make you forgive them
Sure pride gets in our way, but inside, we all just need a "Sorry" that came from the heart, and a lot of people dont really understand that, hence the "ego" or pride you're talking about
That's exactly what this guy did to AJ, and thankfully AppleJack did the right thing.

The real question is how are these ponies finding him so easily. It’s like they put a tracking chip in him.
They've lived with him long enough that they developed a sort of "psychic tether" to him. Either that, or they really did implant a GPS tracking chip in him. Probably did it in one of the many times he was knocked out cold.

But as I’ve grown older I grew to love My Little Pony and I realised it’s not just for Girls, anyone can like anything.
