    My mother Joan Ziprin co animated this film with Harry Smith. You can see her influence as it is different than his other films!

      Can you please tell me where this is from? The OP posted zero information on this. I have no idea who your mother is or the man she worked with...but this is BEAUTIFUL. I'm sorry he ripped her art up but she's a strong woman for up and leaving. What year was this? And did she make any films? I appreciate your time, and I hope I don't come off as nosey. We seldom hear about female artists/animators. Thank you.

    I just read about her in John Szwed’s Cosmic Scholar. On pg 199 he states that she was the only person that Harry allowed to see the film. She quit after Harry tore up her drawings in a fit of rage.

    After he tore them up he spent weeks painstakingly gluing them back together, offering his apology and begged her to return. As far as I know at that point she had enough.
