OMG he's BEAUTIFUL!!! I've never seen a boxer as a police dog....they have such sweet personalities. My late Heidi Boomers was the most loving dog ever but let someone near my kids in a menacing way and you saw the tough dog come out! Wonderful and just beautiful!
Cliff was something special and one of the all time best looking dogs , not just Boxer breed but of all dogs on earth what a machine , the video is great and anyone that has had this breed knows what I mean from loyal family companions and the true working dog breed
That’s the perfect embodiment of a boxer: Tough, lean, muscular, athletic and aggressive. A true throwback. You’re doing something right in your kennels.
Many years ago I had a mean big boxer like this and I can tell you from experience they are not to be messed with. Fearless and WAY stronger than their size suggests. A potent package. I have owned a few over more than 4 decades and to me they have no equal in the dog world. None.
This is what a boxer looks like. In the U.S. people are used to seeing the boxer as a slender dog. This is what the breed really looks like. Do some research.
+Tony Dudley I had no idea what the difference was until a came across my breeder. His dogs are German imports. Now I clearly see the difference. I'm sure both are loving as I can see how loving mines is. But the bone structure on mine is totally a lot bigger than the American Boxers I come across. I love my girl. She's very loving and loyal. Many people ask if she's mixed. I say "nope". All German all the way. She's a monster and awesome. Both dad and mom are imported. She has an amazing bloodline
We have 2 older boxers, a male and female American bred, and just took in a European 15wk old female. She is great. Her feet are already the size of some of our previous 90-100lbs full grown American males.
Boxer, best, pretty, lovely, emotionaly and brave breed ever. The european, of course. Used in Spain to catch raging bull and at homes to be best friend of a child and family and protect the house.
I know there are tighter controls in Europe but rest assured the US has some fine boxer lines as well, you just have find the right breeders and be more selective. I have had some very fine specimens right here in the US over the years (although a few of them were descended from stock directly from Austria a few generations back). You are correct though, boxers are the best breed ever.
Fred was the name of the boxer dog i shared my life with he was a body gard .There was two times those damn German Shepherd dogs came after me and fred put him self between me and and those damn dogs. One turned around and walk away the one ran.He saved from an atack more then those two times. Thanks old friend. R.W.Childs.
Awesome to see such a well trained boxer. Looks like good trainers too. Many protection-dog training-videos on youtube makes me a bit sick, but this is how its supposed to be like. Thumbs up!
It is extremely easy to train a German Boxer as a protection dog. The social dogs are usually the best ones for working, as this type of dog is of a confident nature. Most dogs that show indiscriminante agression are fearfull and will actually not stand up against a threat. The Boxer in Germany has been bred as a working dog for 100 years...they don't care about Bulls & Bears any longer. In Germany if a dog dosn't prove himself as a working dog (ZTP,IPO) it CANNOT BE BRED - no exceptions.
Great handling, bstought. It's a ballet, keeping the dog in max drive like that. It's so nice to see a boxer with presence and power. That's rare here in the U.S. Keep it up!
Thanks God there are some working kennels in the world, very few for some breeds, boxers even rough collies are working dogs, some people work them.... Generally breeders look on appearance only... Keep up the good work.. Greetings from Greece...
Greeting. I am from continental Europe, forgive my bad English. Cliff has a real mastiff blood. We Europeans have actually dropped boxers out of our hands. Dogs like Cliff should be a role model in the future boxer breeding.
German Boxers were used as Servicedogs (Diensthund) in Germany since 1924 for Police work, customs duty and in the military, even until today in Germany you can still find some Boxers in service but only in few federal states (I think Bavaria f.e.). The first Boxer Klub in Germany was founded in 1904 in München by the way. 😉
im my home country brazil in south america we use boxer dog to protect the hurd from predadors like wolf and jaguar, a really strong dog and a good friend
i bought my boxer in Germany and this is almost exactly what it looks like. German boxers have a SIGNIFICANT difference in looks compared to American boxers.
How can a person get a working line boxer like this I've been looking for a long time and I can't find the working line of the boxer like this use for protection
Just google “working line boxer breeder” or “European boxer breeders” they’re going to run you good money so don’t be surprised when the price tag is $2500 plus shipping.
@LoneRonin2390 It's funny that you say that. I live in America and I've only ever seen boxers cropped in professional pictures and on TV. We have a boxer and he's not cropped. Every boxer I've ever seen at the dog park and in my town is uncropped, a few of which are undocked. But maybe it's just where I'm from or something. Or maybe it's becoming less popular to alter their natural appearance? I hope it's the latter. I think they're more handsome (and more cute) with the floppy ears and tail!
@RMAPA1 I have a boxer with a docked tail and I can tell how his feeling to lol, As a show grade the standard for a boxer is docked tail and cropped ears, personally the cropped ears looks good on bigger boxers, but I do not make my boxers go through that + un-cropped looks just as good. But the tail (in my opinion) is a must ...one for looks and second for it's safety. boxers with un-docked tails can get injured because that long stiff tail can snap. No biggie your dog still looks amazing!
LOVE THAT GUY! actually Boxers were bred to hunt, run down the prey and hold it down until the master came...that's why their noses are tipped up so they breathe while they pin down the animal he caught!!! BUT they are not used like this anymore as far as I know
German Boxer is actually the name of the Breed. The FCI in Europe which is the equivalent of the AKC in the USA lists: Deutsch (German) Boxer. Some may say European Boxer to differentiate from American Boxer? If the dog they are calling a "European" Boxer is registered by the FCI in Europe it is technically a Deutsch (German) Boxer.
for now i got a male from german working lines. allmoust 2 years now. He dont seems to get this big. 57 cm on shoulders.. above 30 kg but small head small chest. good bite but small head. dont know where his weight comes from. hes verry well trained but he looks skinny. anyways he got enddless energy and hang on rope no matter how i swing him around :-P i train him for long sprints daily. play hard with him. makes him run in snow. feed him like hell. he dont gain weight...

A good example of the boxer as a working/guard dog - not the couch pet that most people have in mind. Boxer: an amazing, all-round breed.
this is how a boxer should look like
tail should be docked though
