    That little scraper is called a Pan. It does remove top layers of dirt. Lots of nice wheats. Thought you may find some silver.

    I love history, and the things that you find really fascinate me! My dad and I used to metal detect when I was a kid in Wisconsin. I definitely want to buy a metal detector and treasure hunt, so-to-speak.

    The pendant that you found is a Grateful Dead Bear. It is in the video around 22:41. It is probably from the same time period as some of the pennies.

    JD, I was just wondering if you might have found some silver if you had pulled out your old trusty eTrac machine and gone back over some spots you found wheat cents. Or is your T2 capable of going just as deep as the eTrac on silver. Still enjoyed the hunt you had but I'm curious how another brand that you have used in the past might have done. Maybe not as good, you would know better than me.

    That clump of lead you found near the end is an old ball joint.

      Ball joints are made of steel,not lead. looks like part of a car battery post.

    Looks like that thing you thought was a chunk of lead looks like the top to a ground rod with an acorn clamp attached. Someone probably cut it with a mower blade. I bet that made a racket lol.
