    The big (and most important) question remains unanswered: Which one sounds better?
    Those android stereos are tempting, but they usually come with a lot of software bugs no matter the brand. And the sound quality is subpar.

    • @PiterStreak
      @PiterStreak Před 4 lety

      Depends on which Android radio. The "joying" brand has pretty good sound quality according to my reviews. Hell. It has coaxial (SPDIF) output for full digital signal to an amp. Software can be buggy though unfortunately

      A stereo can't be expected to perform all the functions of an amplified system with a DSP. They can only put out so much power and handle limited sound processing capability given the size.
      I've known folks that spent over $1000 on just their head unit, only to get a mild improvement over the stock stereo.
      I have a $300 10" android stereo, a couple name brand amps, subs, speakers, big 3, and barely spent a grand. Just need a DSP to wrap it up.

    • @eag8999
      @eag8999 Před 4 lety

      Defect my system is all aftermarket with a big amp for the speakers and subwoofer. I put an in line signal amp for the subwoofer before the sub amp because the signal was too weak. But a DSP is a must with this whereas it was not with my previous head unit.

    I have a Dasaita Max 6. 10.2. It has 4 speaker output mid-range output and a sub output. I don't use apple or Android I don't even use my phone. I use the Google Play and and any other music app. I talk on my phone and listen to my songs. I have had no problems with my dasaita Max 6. Pioneer, Sony, alpine are all basic in comparison. Sound Quality is very good. I have 4 6.5 ds18 zt6, 3 ds18 EXL 8inch with a skar vd10 sub for the mid-range sounds, and 2 1224 ssi JBL subs. 7band EQ andkicker front row(sucks) In the s430. Late model. Concert on wheels. Loud and clear. I have so much music to choose from I download new to my headunit w/out my 📱. You don't need a phone with the dasaita headunit. You can use a sim card with this headunit and become a hot-spot. I would never buy or use another American headunit. Dasaita has a single din also for this unit.

    I've had my 10.2 dasaita in my truck and have confirmed that it drains the vehicle battery. No aftermarket anything added either. The stereo is always sleeping so picture a laptop unplugged but always draining. Overall I give it a 6.5\10. customization is solid, screen is too bright even at lowest setting, navigation is horrible even using Android Auto, carplay. I thought for the longest time it was my phone but it works in every other vehicle and perfectly when disconnected from the head unit. Backup camera quality is ok in the day but nighttime view is terrible. Needs work to bring it up to par with other brands.

    Why do you bother listing "can play 4k files" when the screen isn't 4k? Who cares? It's scaling the 4k video down. If you want a video to look good, you want to play it at the native resolution because whatever scaling a device does in real-time will look far WORSE.
    In your last video on the unit you at least denoted that it couldn't actually display it, this time, people that don't know any better will watch this video and be like "4k video, you're telling me it's as good as my TV?" It's absolutely not even remotely close. It feels INCREDIBLY misleading for you to just mimic their marketing. The reason people turn to reviews is to get around and avoid marketing bull.

Dasaita sounds like my old Clarion of 700€. Its DSP can help you to find the best sound quality. I prefer Android than Android Auto because you can have all apps like a mobile, android auto or Apple car play has only a few apps and they are not as complete as the same apps in Android. Just like with any other Android device, you can "Root" it and get rid of some of the junk. Also, you can install the App "Viper4Android" which will unlock the full potential of the audio. As far as the quality of the Android device, I think you can get a similar device for less than half the money this one costs. They all pretty much use the same components made in China, so the deciding factor would be display resolution. As with warranty, who cares? You pay $100 for a device, lasts a couple years and breaks. You just go out and buy another!! After 5 years you're most likely to trade in the car anyhow!

      @@alanburgess2203 I've had many stereo's in my 2003 F250. From a Pioneer AVIC-F90BT (9/2009); JVC AV60BT (1/2012); Pumpkin 10.1" Android 7.1 (9/2017). I am still running the Pumpkin today in my truck and it still works with no issues. I don't use AA, but instead connect to my Samsung S10 via Wifi to play music from my Amazon Music Prime. Its slow and out dated, but works fine. Only issues I've had is it hanging up where I had to pull the main power fuse for a full shutdown/reboot cycle. This happened like 3 times since I've owned it. I'm looking again for another upgrade and deciding if I want another Chinese unit or go back to a mainstream brand like Sony/Pioneer/Alpine/etc... .

      I've owned 3 Android based stereos: Seicane, Dasaita, and Eiky. The Seicane advertised Android (6.0) Marshmallow but came with (4.?) KitKat. The screen wasn't great. I then installed a Dasaita unit made for a Nissan, because it was the closest to a double DIN I could find at the time. I loved the unit, but hated the fitment. Now Dasaita offers real double and single DIN models. I bought an Eiky unit made for my 2013 Ford Focus. I hate the display angle. It doesn't dim with my parking lights. It cannot run live wallpapers. I'm sure there are more shortcomings I'm forgetting about, but the experience demonstrated how much better the Dasaita unit is. Having some experience with Android head units I would recommend a Dasaita, over any other Android head unit. I don't know if there are better offerings, but I know that my Dasaita unit has been the best I've used.
