That price guide is pure gold. Love the values on stuff from a little while back. Shows how much interest pokemon has gained over the past few years, for better or worse.

Whoever makes these boxes is definitely the company that bought out the Sinnoh Pals tins from Costco a few weeks ago when they went on sale.
That 151 suggestion just brought that man a dose of serotonin he isn’t ready for. He also hasn’t realized just how back into Pokémon he is yet.
Honestly that old price guide/magazine was so awesome to see. Brings me back to going into Walmart and CVS back in the early 2000s and seeing the Beckett price guide sitting on the shelves with the other magazines.

The boxes were pretty weak, as expected. That magazine mystery item was actually a cool pick, though. A lot more interesting than keychains and pins.

Retail-wise, the boxes proved good. Those old jumbo cards practically pay for themselves, going by market price. I admit, that old price guide is dope and probably the best thing pulled as it definitely provides information on how much cards were back in 2008. I'm sure if you went back in time and old someone how much a 1st ed base set charizard would be worth 15 years later, they'd probably look at you as if you grew a second head.

id consider buying one if it was much heavier than the rest, getting cool littles blasts from the past like thats unofficial magazine is cool as well as the jumbo vintage is actually dope, that being said id probably only be willing to buy one just for the rng lol that being said def not a great deal haha

I guess John is always Team Marie, since they have the same favourate Pokemon. Also, these boxes seem okay. Don't think I would ever get one if I were to see them here in Canada though.
I love both teams and couldn't decide between the two teams, but it is true that Marie and I share the same Favorite Pokemon haha

I returned to Pokemon in 09-10, and we learned to play the TCG using a mix of old and new cards. I used an unsleeved Neo Genesis Lugia in a deck. It was barely worth anything. I bought 1st ed unweighed fossil packs at $2 a piece. That 2008 magazine is such a great window to how the hobby was back then. We didn't take care of cards because they just weren't worth what they've been worth since 2016.

I received two mystery items in the one box I bought today! I got the same magazine and then a sealed black/white victini sticker book from 2011. Also pulled the legendary birds for my Jumbo and didn't pull a single ultra rare!

The fact that we haven't gotten a full art Swampert since the box that pin came out of is immensely disappointing. My favorite pokemon of all time and somehow barely get any cards of it. 😊
