Oz speaking about the grief in his family is only going to serve as something else Blair will use against him to cause him and his partner even more stress. She's that horrible of a person, and she used a similar situation against Cruel World Happy Mind.
I have astrong suspicion that the stress inflicted by Blair was a major contributing reason - of not entirely the reason - both of those tragedies happened. In my opinion, she has blood on her hands.

I don't think she's going to take the offer unfortunately - as much as I would like to see her be slapped by the court system, it's not fair for the other parties involved to have to go through this stress.
Her taking the offer would be like her admitting defeat, and no narcissist likes to admit they are wrong. I also don't think she actually fully comprehends the law and what the definition of it is when it pertains to "defaming" someone. On top of that, she has a very long habit and record of telling half truths and lies, which is clearly evident just in her complaints to the court. She's so used to doing this and it going her way to get what she wants combined with her ego, that I fully believe that *she* believes she can and "should" win the lawsuit.
But who knows, maybe she's starting to finally run out of money to make her reconsider.

Yeah, to be honest I thought it was a mistake to admit publicly how much stress this is causing them. I think a lot of people aren't realizing that the whole point of this for Blair is to cause stress and pain. She doesn't care about restoring her reputation at this point. It's just to be vindictive. Winning isn't the point. It's to cause stress, so she is going to drag this out as long as possible especially if, by her perspective, it's working.

The judge is honestly concerning me. A reasonable judge would have let FelixtheKitKat off by now.
I think it's important to remember that the judge is not going to be a person whose online in the same way we are. All they're going off of is the information provided and the law. Oz even states in their video that they think the way Blair has presented her case has made the timeline look a lot different than the truth and made it seem like the CZcamsrs involved are competitors of Blair's rather than former colleagues.
The judge merely stated that the case may continue and that evidence will be presented through the course of the case. It actually was a boon (in my opinion) to the defense because now they know the youtube knowledge level of the Judge and can plan accordingly. Blair on the other hand has tipped her hand as being erratic, nonsensical, and disorganized and may try to capitalize on the lack of youtuber business knowledge of the judge (if her legal team were smart). My problem is honestly... who the heck is representing Blair? Their legal filings are rambling and nonsensical. Yes there is some case law and proper legal format but the rest is just rambling like a child wrote those filings. Is Blair using ChatGPT to write filings for her? Is her lawyer? Is she using some online "do your own lawsuit" package? Because I just cannot fathom an actual defamation lawyer familiar with youtube businesses would actually file something as rambling and needing so many revisions as Blairs filings have been.
Like others have said, they can only go by what's in front of them. This is why I think Oz putting this video out is a wonderful move, because now the judge is going to *have to* watch it all... and now the judge will have context to a lot of things.
@@jamesedenart Not only watch it but if necessary Oz and his team can provide all the back up docs along with it. This is why I am calling Oz's vid a shot across the bow. This is a carrot and stick, the settlement offer is the carrot, the receipts are the stick he will use in court.
Judge is also bound by Colorado law, which is if there is any chance Blair isn't absolutely off her rocker about all of this, then all evidence needs to be seen. I can understand why he's moving it forward without dismissal with what they have been provided, but it will all come right back to bite her with her altered history take.

Blair’s lawyer reached out during Oz’ livestream today and said they’re open to the settlement negotiations.
I hope to everything that she takes this offer, but i highly doubt she will. She's sunk too much time and effort and money into this for her ego to let her back out. it's likely that she's already re-writing her next amendment to include "tried to blackmail me into silence via youtube video, threatening that he'll make sure my public image will never recover" and cherry picking specific phrases to quote to make him look bad because she cannot accept criticism. I wish Oz all the luck in the world but he's trying to reason with someone who is unreasonable.

I used to watch Blair, if there's one thing I learned it's that she is too prideful and arrogant... There's no way she will accept this deal and that will be her downfall. Apparently she plans on making a new channel anyways, but the internet never forgets. They will find her again and the comments will just start over again trying to run her off of CZcams. Taking the deal might mean there's a small chance of her saving what remains of her channel.
When I first heard him say about a discussion with an unbiased 3rd party, my immediate thought was that it sounded like he was inviting her on Dr Phil lol.

I agree, she should take this offer. She won't, though. I don't know if she's completely delusional or just a prideful narcissist, but whatever is going on with her, based on her past behavior she won't accept the offer. She'll manipulatively respond that she's "willing to accept" and then tack a bunch of unreasonable stipulations to that "acceptance." Oz will reject the stipulations, and they'll still end up in court.
All of that said, if you can afford to donate to his legal fund, even just $2 or $5, it would be immensely helpful. This has become a battle of principal against a blatant online bully.

I know Oz is going through a rough time, and we're it not for that, I'd hope he'd go on the offensive and countersue under anti-SLAPP.
If she takes the "deal" she will be in the wrong. Narcissistic humans can't be wrong. It is actually impossible for her to be wrong in her head.
One of my workers would lie about what color the sky was and would go red in the face, yelling that he was right. It's not that he did it on purpose but narcissists actually believe what they are saying to be true. Even with all the evidence stating otherwise right in front of them.
Madcatster as the third party is a non-starter. His commentary on the lawsuit has been scathing towards Blair; I can't imagine Blair accepting him as a neutral third party (assuming that Blair is intelligent enough to know when it's time to cut her losses and take as much as she can get, which I doubt).
As for Legal Eagle, it was Blair's false accusation against Legal Eagle that snowballed into the current disaster; regardless of Legal Eagle's willingness to serve as a neutral moderator, Blair couldn't possibly select him.

Another possible recommend, but not a licensed attorney in the U.S. is Runkle of the Bailey. He's also done some heavy and indepth review of things, with regards to this case. Which as it stands now, I'm waiting for his take in things. I also wouldn't even mind hearing something from Legal Eagle.

Or a move where failing to accept the offer either by not replying or through a direct replied rejection, end up looking far worse. Illuminaughtii really is in a no win situation here. Her online reputation is absolutely tarnished beyond any hope from what I can tell. When she originally went after Cruel World Happy Mind I kept insisting to her on Twitter to end the beef and stop bullying the smaller creator. Blair literally said "She blocked me, I cant contact her" when Blair knows full well how to contact someone especially if its to apologize. It was then that I stopped watching her content. When I saw how vindictive and petty she was, there are literally thousands of other commentary and docuseries channels out there. She has just come out to appear just so hateful, so cruel to those she works with and those who work for her. To think I almost went and bought one of her plushies when she had them.
I donated to support the legal fund and to support Oz and all of those impacted by Blair.
At this point yeah her "career" online is dead. It doesn't matter whether she "wins" in court. The second you go after another creator without a DAMN solid case (more than just "hurt fee fees") you're not doing online content again.
She should be thankful Oz et al are ethical. One huge weakness of narcissists like Blair is they're incredibly gullible.

man, as a long time fan of Blair who loved the videos this is just sad, the hypocrisy.
Couple of things:
1. Oz’ statements can’t help him in court, it’s a non-opposing statement made outside of court meant to assert the truth of the matter, which I believe is how hearsay is defined and doesn’t fall into any exception rules. When the cops tell you “anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law” the part that isn’t said is “and anything you say can’t be used to exonerate you”.
2. Blair will never go for Madcatster as a “neutral third party” even though he super is because she is a victim and anybody who isn’t actively giving her pity or defending her isn’t “neutral” in her book. There’s nobody Oz could pick that she’d agree to, and nobody she’d put forward who he could agree to. It’d have to be a mediator appointed by court, and they wouldn’t do this in public.
Honestly, while the forthright nature of Oz is helping in the court of public opinion, I can’t imagine his lawyers sanctioned this; they probably said “dude, FOR THE LOVE OF MACARONI please be quiet, but if you can’t be quiet let us look over what you’re saying at least so you don’t put us in a bind with your disclosures.”
Blair should have kept her mouth SHUT and never did the response, she shouldn’t have started beef, she should have let this all go waaaay long ago. If she hadn’t tried to pull the shenanigans she did the legal Eagle thing would have been a “welp that’s weird” and everybody moved on more or less (the plagiarism thing would have been a problem for her, but the allegations about mistreatment wouldn’t have gotten the legs it has now). Then again, if she had understood that the behavior probably wouldn’t have been there in the first place…

I can understand as Oz is going through personal issues. (Oz discusses it in his outro, and I'll follow Omegon's lead and leave it for Oz to say). But the olive branch is just "drop the lawsuit with prejudice and everyone walks away." highly doubtful she'll do that though. And iirc Colorado has anti-SLAPP laws. And Oz's lawyer seems to know what he's doing.
Actually in a way that you may not be seeing, what he's doing is if she does give it up, it's could make matters worse for her. If she takes the deal, she's going continue to look bad. Reject it and she'll only make herself look worse. Which is a well conceived move, even if not intentional.
The problem is, Ozz is wrong. CZcams, Twitch or any other platform work in a way, where the baddies have no repercussions. The drones will always stay by her side. Even if its half of her current viewership. Her loosing in court will not destroy her platform. Logan Paul, Jake Paul, Keemstar and some others were "destroyed" so hard in the past and they still come out on top. In an era, where the bad guys are the cool ones, sorry, she'll be roadbumped but not stopped I fear.
