We can take steps to overcome this lack, but only if we know what we have to make up for. As we do so, our drawing will not only improve, but the drawing experience will become more enjoyable as well.

I'm very grateful that you are sharing your knowledge online. I want to make entertaining stories through good writing and art and to do that ive been teaching myself how to draw but its been a struggle. However, your thoughts made me realize i need to revamp the studying system ive created as it currently doesn't help me improve.
So im working on my own self taught art course (with no experience of course so this will be ever changing).
My take away for a successful progam is;
-a way for it to be exciting and engaging
-needs to explain the importance of what the subject matter is/why am I learning this and what for
-needs to establish discipline and external pressure for more encouragement
-having a good structure/proper pacing
-developing an encouraging community
-a feedback system, either external or internal
-and most importantly, ways to prevent demotivation.
I understand this is a hard task to complete, creating a course is something ive never done. I do believe though that once i finish researching and coming up with something, it will help me progress much more than where i am now.
I will update you on any developments with this project of mine. In the meantime, i love watching your videos, thank you for everything you do and please keep going strong.
