The monthly subscription gives you like 1600 atoms a month, unlimited junk storage for crafting, and basically a free fast travel you can set anywhere. Lowkey worth it as you get more invested but then again $12 a month is pretty crazy
Don't underestimate the CAMP system. Yes, it's more limiting than FO4 due to it being an online game, but they've made many improvements over FO4's settlement system.
I'd be happy with cross progression. I play on playstation sometimes just to play with a friend, but I have to maintain a second file for that. I'd be happy to just have my pc characters.
Great video, however its not surprising about Bethesda and them monetizing it. They're literally the ones who started skin dlcs with Oblivion and their horse armour skin.
The camp system is trash early on, but the more you play the more things you get and the better you get at using them. You can look at my first camp compared to my camp now and its night and day different.

It's a live service game, it has to be monetized.
They should take out the old scorch quest lmao or shorten it down
They did shorten it AND cut a lot of dialog out of the Overseer's holotapes.
This is what turned me off when I tried a while back. Was like having two concurrent main quests and just felt janky and convoluted
