ETS2 1.39 - Promods 2.51 Global Map Combo (aka Eurasia combo + EAA)

This combo works with BOTH the paid and the free version of Roex!
I am also not a map creator, just the messenger. Please don't shoot the messenger.
ROS/Promzona needs updating, Tasmania/Australia needs updating and PJ Indo needs updating before I can add them!
In addition to adding the mods below you will have to ensure that your documents/Euro Truck Simulator 2/config.cfg file
contains a line - uset r_buffer_page_size "30"
If the value is set to 10, change it to 30.

I agree, I too prefer to use EAA as a standalone map but as you say, other might like quantity over quality

Great work as always, Wombat! I think I've downloaded what I need to augment the Eurasia Combo (update 1) from a couple of weeks ago, and I'm about to dive into this now. I'm not sure I see the "Crash fix for huge combo maps" in the download list, though it features in your load order. Maybe it's included in one of the packages & will turn up. Thanks for all that you do - my kids love the channel, and driving the roads :-)
The crash fix is found in the same link as the background map. Separate download from that website tho. I have clearified that in the video description.

I managed to get afromap to work with 1.39 but you need to use v2.0 for some reason and not the latest versions keep up the great work wombat I've learnt alot about load orders from your videos I've now got 241 mods running its a crazy tight rope balance but it works great lol
Where did you put afromap in the load order?
Also if you could share some other compatible mods thanks!

Adding at least some of Australia, North America and Africa would feel better tho. Preferably all of them. Maybe the poles too and OC all remaining parts of Asia as well.

they updated it from 0.9 Beta to 1.0 Alpha for ETS 1.39

I have found two issues with this combo:
1) EAA and Promods share sector 0020-0010. So you will end up with big hole in map near Jaboatão dos Guararapes. Unfortunately I have no idea how to fix it other than removing sector 0020-0010 from promods map (loosing small fragment of Galway in Ireland).
I really hope moving sectors in map editor would be easy. Generally all we would need to do is simply move EAA two/three sectors west.
2) For some reason EAA have impact on Minsk, so game will crash when trying to visit it. To fix it I have found some old RusMap/EAA compatibility fix. And it seems to be working now.
Also: I cannot make it work with EAA on the bottom of the load order. It has to be above Volga map.
Ah, and one more thing. Issue with Norwich can be fixed by using different background map. I've cheanged it to Ultimate Satelite bg, and Norwich is back where it should. (And there is no issues in EAA as well).

Crash fix is found in the same link as the background map
but where are EAA-Promods fix and EAA-Rusmap fix? It is not necessary on this new versions?

Thanks again Wombat! Got this up and running. Do you happen to know why there are stretched roads (on the left of your thumbnail) in the EAA Map? I have noticed the same near Felixstowe in England (bottom right of the country).
I have the same stretched roads and it is mainly caused by the 1:15 scale issue in UK. Nothing I can do about it but it isn’t a big issue since it’s just cosmetic and only affect the map, not the game play

Hi Wombat, I have some questions for you. Do I ever have to make a new profile to update your map combo? For example I have a profile with your ProMods Eurasia map combo (I'd rather use EAA as a standalone map, makes more sense that way imo), when there is a new version of the game and some maps won't work, do I have to start over, or can I just update as you do? Also if for example I have some discovered roads on RusMap and RusMap is not included in the combo for a while (because it's not updated at the moment), do I keep discovered roads when it gets added back? I hope it's somewhat understandable. Sorry if my English is bad today. Have a nice day!

Hello, my game crashes when I try to zoom into the map. I have set the buffer page size to 30. I tried to install Superzoom mot, but that did not work either.
Furthermore i have installed the same backround map as you i believe, but the cities do not correctly align with it at all. Any help?
Background map AND it’s big combo fix is required. It is not compatible with any other zoom mods.

Thank you for posting this! Works nicely. I couldn't help but notice that stop signs say "PARE" anywhere I go. I think EAA is causing this. Is there any way to have stop signs show up in their native languages or is that not possible?
I got a feeling the stop sign is a single global asset, as everywhere in Europe it's STOP.

Probably not. Its not the combos fault, JBX Graphics just isnt made for all the mods used here. It might work 95% of the time but expect reoccurring problems and possible crashes when using graphics mods on a combo.

There is no turkey road connections, no need for that? I cang get this road connection worked

It crashes when in Novorossijsk, I cant access Iceland (it doesnt even have city names) and I fell through road multiple times. I got gaming computer, yet I got stuttering, because console is panicking all the time. Any recommendations or fixes?
I started my game in Novorossiysk I didn't crash, stuttering I think is normal

Try removing SZM, it crashes my game when I try to use it with the newest RusMap in my combo but without SZM everything is fine.
I love this combo but do you know why my loading takes 11 minutes, its not the first load time
The more mods you have, the more items the game has to load into your ram (that is what loading is. Loading is when the game copies its data files from your hard drive to your ram).
So when you add more map mods, it takes longer to load because it has to load a bigger world than the original game.
The only way to make loading faster is to install windows and ETS2 on a solid state drive instead of a hard drive.

If your PC is able to handle the base map and DLCs it able to handle any map combo
I'd worry more about your hard drive, even with a SSD the load times for this huge combo are SLOW

There are two versions 5.5. one for v1.38 and one for v 1.39, make sure you downloaded the correct version

Of course not. If you use only some of it, the load order might have to be very different. Its all or nothing.

You have to download all 3 great steppe files, I tend to use 7zip for this one only, then extract the first file, and then put all 3 files (one extracted and other 2 as downloaded) into your mods folder

for some reason you cant properly extract it with winrar, you have to use 7zip, idk why
@@PyroPattie it has always been like that. Due to the files that the Great Steppe get made into, apart from the first one which is winrar. However once you extract the winrar file it will extract files from the other 2 and then you put the contents into the mod manager.

Too many places in EAA. Routes become too heavily biased for me, so I won't use it.
IMO EAA makes much more sense as standalone map, it's way too big for a combo.
