Hello sir tank you for your query, I have the Sony X700 4 K player it's not region free (I have 2 players) so some discs are not comparable yes it's ok for most of the part I use it strictly for playing physical media (disc) as for the sound it's ok that's it if you want exceptional sound you need to go with the Panasonic UB 9000 or oppo Bluray players , for steaming I suggest you get a good streaming device like apple 🍎 TV 4K Sony is a reliable brand and so is Panasonic I have used both of these hope this answers your question ,thank you
