The Egyptian military has only around 600,000 combat troops (it doesn't need more as Egypt doesn't plan to go to war against any country).
Around 15,000 high ranking officers in the Egyptian military control approximately a fifth of the entire Egyptian economy.
This translates to 20% of half a trillion USD = 100 billion USD.
The President and his close circle of around 50 trusted officers are the most wealthy as they take in around 20 billlion USD a year between them.
The rest of the 80 billion USD is distributed more or less equally among the officer corps (lower ranking officers take in around 300,000 USD a year, higher.ranking officers 450,000 USD a year and about 1,000 officers take in 600,000 USD a year.
It may not sound like a lot of money if you are Norwegian or Swiss or Singaporean but in Egypt where the average man and woman make 250 - 300 USD a month the amounts are astronomical.
The Egyptian military is not prepared for war nor has it ever been since Anwar Sadat took power.

That is the feeling of so many people across the globe but i understand his frustration as one of the closest neighbour to Gaza watching his govt. not have done what they could. Allah doesn't change a people until they change what is in themselves.
It's our own weakness and the love for the comfort of this life that is the cause for the lack of a reaction from our leaders.
Leaders are a reflection of the people at the end of the day.
The citizens can vote them out or protest the whole country.
@@zepp3linpeople can't vote them out unfortunatly, they will not care about us, they even betrayed everything to stay in the power, and we can't do it with force because they have the whole army who will protect them.
It is our duty to change those leaders lest someone think they actually represent us.
@@Connectingdots100 how can we change them, everyone of them has an army that will protect him, the pb is not only the leader is currupt but he is surrended by people more currupt and evil then him, and most of political good people are either in prison or killed, and by experience trying to remove them by force it only create more pb then solution, either way God is the best planner, we hope for the best in the future..

Dear brother we know that the egyptian people are a great people and that they suffer to see their brothers palestinians suffer so much. The entire blame falls on the puppet leaders on the head of the countries. They will be held accountable before Allah for their corruption and bad governance. Justice will be done inchallah.
