Because her manager doesn't know how to do his job. When an artist is successful with his first album, you keep the thing going by releasing a second album as soon as possible, to solidify and grow your fan base. When you're very well-known and established artist, you can wait 4 or 5 years. She took ages to release a second album, by then, a lot of people had forgotten about her. And after that, she's been releasing only EPs for years... No one buy EPs, and no one follows an artist that don't publish new material... I like her, but she's got to get it together.
PS: Before anyone asks, I know she's a writer, but she's a "new singer" in the market.
